Recently tried to get back into it and the performance is worse than in Microsoft Flight Simulator while of course it has a lot less going for it than MSFS. It is now unplayable on my high performance gaming laptop for some reason and these guys obviously care about pumping out mediocre full prize addons more than actually making the game playable or fixing any problems.

As of January 2025 I can't even get into the game to see if it's any good, this is truly the Loading Screen Simulator. 219€ is a premium price for hour long loading screens. (I have a brand new gaming laptop).

Early Access Review
After some issues at the start I can now recommend PoE 2.

TSW4 is basically a reskin of 3 which is a reskin of 2 and so forth. There are no improvements in terms of graphics or anything else.

What is really annoying is the abundance of bugs. For example: One route starts at the depot and you are supposed to wait 2 minutes, but then the signal does not turn to green from red, so you can't continue, can't even start driving. These bugs are extremely common and should be easy fixes but it just seems the devs do an extremely half arsed job. It's sad that people still pay these cash grabs due to a lack of alternatives in the train sim space. Someone should step up and make a real train sim with 2024 graphics and longer routes.

It is obvious the developers do not care and just rush out stuff without quality control. Many parts of the game are unplayable and have game breaking bugs. Even some of the DLC trains do not work at all.

This game is a dream come true! This is certainly a candidate for GOTY and maybe one of the best games made to date. The level of detail and faithfulness to the source material is absolutely astounding. This game also feels extremely polished, it is great that some devs still make games like this. This is on par with the newer Zelda games, the Witcher 3 and Elden Ring. The letter has arrived, at last!

I have read some of the critiques and think they are somewhat valid. This is not an open world RPG like the original Dragon Age, with a vast amount of decisions that matter. I am afraid we might never see such a game made again. Even though it does not offer this experience, it still exceeds the expectations I had for bringing the Wizarding World to life.

I do not recognize that much gamebreaking lag on my gaming laptop, though it is noticeable in the overworld sometimes. Apart from that this is one of the best games ever made, the mechanics are crazy and a big improvement from the previous Souls titles. The story has been improved to be more interesting and the overworld just looks lovely. Certainly high in the running for GOTY.

I am 6h in. Overall I enjoy the fast service from Köln to Aachen. But there are many small things that end up being a big thing, especially coming from the first TSW.

+ The ICE trains are somewhat authentically replicated
+ The overall handling is smooth
+ Cologne Station somewhat resembles the original

- There are some small things in the ICE trains: Can't enter the toilet. Can't open the windows in the driver's cabin. No signs saying where the train goes (this was an issue in the first TSW, do they not bother?).
- The clouds are messy and bland like in the first game.
- The rain is not very realistic. Surely there could be much more detail in 2020/2021?
- People look exactly like in the first game
- Stations are not busy at all
- No announcements in Bakerloo line
- Sound effects could generally use more attention to detail though I appreciate the effort. I am particularly displeased with the rain sounds.
- Stations seem dead generally. Loading up passengers has not changed from the first game. They also should do more than just robotically sit and walk. There was more detail in GTA 3.

While I appreciate the High Speed Track it is fairly short with only one stop. It seems a bit unfinished for a new game and could have been a simple addon to the first one.

This is a masterpiece. I remember playing this game for the first time years ago and I was just enchanted by the Asian atmosphere and by virtual Hong Kong. Finally, I got to visit the real Hong Kong this year and the game really does the place and the atmosphere of that city justice. One of the most atmospheric games ever and I would like to see more Games in a realistic Asian setting.

This is the best MMORPG I've ever played. I do not understand the hate that this game received. The quests are immersive and engaging - telling a story. The class choice is completely free and allows for a ton of variety. The world is absolutely beautiful - a bard singing songs in a tavern was one of my dreams for MMORPG's and it's finally come true. Daggerfull looks stunning. PvE combat does not seem as engaging as in WoW, but for now I'll take that as a tradeoff for RPG immersion. There could also be more reasons for player interaction - as of this moment this is indeed mostly a Single Player game. Maybe they manage to make interacting in guilds and groups more vital. Nevertheless i enjoy letting the hours fly by in this amazing, huge and enchanting world.
