Having played many other rhythm games, the beatmap design personally leaves a lot to be desired even in the highest difficulty; it's very surface level and doesn't track instruments well, a similar problem that Touhou Danmaku Kagura has, as well as a tendency to track vocals which can be off-putting for VSRG players. Ignoring all of that, the game is friendly towards beginners and has a very nice/clean artstyle, but is not as flashy as some of the contemporary rhythm games. I would love to see the full game improve on the beatmap design first and presentation second.

Short and bittersweet story coupled with absolutely banging songs and fun beatmap design (might be somewhat hard to read/get used to.) Recommended to set aside some time to finish the story mode in one or two sittings, and don't be afraid to play at lower difficulties or use assist mode. Afterwards, rhythm game enjoyers can stay for arcade mode and look forward to new content.

This is the first DLC that I wrote a review on, it's literally that good even though I play zero BA. Polyphonic sounds incredible, so are other songs too and all of them are keysounded!

I played up until the end of early access using the controller only, beat most wanderers and got my Skyline and all that... and then I remembered I had a racing wheel. I could easily just cruise around town for hours at 300km/h; it scratches an itch that similar games like ETS2 cannot replicate.

The right amount of nostalgia makes a good song pack great.
