Compelling Story, Amazing soundtrack, and a Roller coaster of emotions.
I wish I had Max's time reversal powers so I can prevent myself from discovering this game. There aren't many games that made me feel melancholy, excitement, and hope the way this game has. The culmination of characters, story, and music choice, truly makes this the most emotional adventures I have ever experienced. The main characters, Max Caulfield and Chloe Price are so damn likeable! Maxis an archetypical geek character. She is shy, anxious, and is well-versed in nerd culture(I can't get enough of those dorky puns!). Max has the ability to rewind time and can sometimes pause time. She uses her abilities to help her friends and in effect grows from a timid character into a brave young woman. Max's best friend, Chloe is more like her polar opposite. Chloe fits the punk-rock archetype really well. She is outgoing, impulsive, and rebellious. Despite not having powers, Chloe is able to hold her own in a tough situation especially when she is tested to protect her best friend. Sometimes Chloe can be ignorant of others feelings but there is one thing that is constant with her persona - her unwavering love for her best friend. Regardless of their differences, they prove time and time again that when they are together they are unstoppable. In Life is Strange, you will help Max and Chloe navigate Arcadia Bay in hopes of finding Chloe's missing love interest, Rachel. The player's role is to explore, investigate and make important story choices. The choice mechanic plays a vital role on how the story rolls out so its important to choose the right ones. Since Max can reverse time you can just choose the best option, right? Au contraire my beautiful review reader! DontNod makes it blatantly obvious that for every choice you make there are consequences (shown by the butterfly) and after certain checkpoints you cannot reverse time without save scumming. Characters will literally die or survive based on your choices, so the player will have to use their wit and the information they have gathered to make the best choice. Thankfully, between the chaos there are fun side objectives such as taking photos for you journal or meditating on a bench. These small breaks is great opportunity for the player to take a break and enjoy the scenery, music and hand painted textures. Between the tough decision making and the small breaks, Life is Strange stresses the importance of good game pacing and its does this well. The music in Life is Strange is the keystone that holds the story and characters together so well. Message to Bears, Mogwai, and the Foals were already some of my favorite artists and I didn't forget about you Syd, you do matter! The music sets the tone and atmosphere for the story and dialogue perfectly. Sneaking around campus during the witching hour? Here you go! Oh dear you got someone killed? Blam-o! Right in the feels! The music is fitting and it was a huge selling point for me. Jonathan Morali, the frontman for Syd Matters created all of the menu music and he created some of the environmental music. His style captures the innocence of Max and Chloe's adventures in a way that could not be done with dialogue and story alone. Morali along with other contributing artists' music adds another dimension to the game's story that is easy to feel, but hard to forgot. The Life is Strange soundtrack groped a ton of my emotions and I am afraid it was not consensual. :'( Each episode tugged on my heartstrings. The chemistry between Max and Chloe paired with well timed game pacing and incredible storytelling truly makes this game a masterpiece. I cried, I laughed, and my heart sank for Max and Chloe. Even after beating the game I am still yearning for more. Congratulations DontNod! You just won a life-time Life is Strange supporter. I can't wait for the third one but first I have to play Before the Storm and Life is Strange 2! 10/10 Would recommend to everyone! ^_^/

I heard about this game while perusing deck builds for a game called Night of the Full Moon. This game always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Some runs you are fortunate enough to obtain very useful relics and cards and some runs you are left with the most heinous of gear...

This game's replayability is what make it great. As you make it through level/Acts you gain exp for the character you are using. This unlocks more relics, cards, etc to help you go further in your next run. I'm about 7 hours in and I am still hooked. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing graphics. Great gameplay. Characters and weapons are highly customizable. Did I mention that all this is F2P?

Besides farming for mods, this game is will keep you coming back for more. P.S. it' always more fun to play with games!

9/10
