Unbelievably good game, even if still in beta. My only complaint is on a couple of enemies that can be completely overkill w/ no breakup or diversity in their attack catalogue.

Also, if you're trying to run this on MacOS, it.. works, albeit feels very laggy when selecting a card and confirming a target. The first game doesn't have this issue, but hopefully it gets resolved before full release. Steam Deck works great though!

This game is getting called the "gooner game", but forget that. This game hits on so many levels, it's not even funny.

- Satisfying combat that lets you lean into the play styles or combos that you like.
- Equipment that further lets you tailor your play style.
- Room to explore and the game rewards you for it.
- Plenty of camps to save your game, which is phenomenal if you're an older gamer who suddenly has to stop to tend to kids, dinner, or time with the wifey (I cannot emphasize how much I love this).
- The music is so good, I was playing the soundtrack on my phone under my pillow to sleep to.
- Environments are amazing, and the stories you read of humanity that once stood, coupled with the music, really pulls at the heart strings.
- Platforming is great, even for someone who hates heights in video games.

Only real con is that swimming controls are kinda tanky. I know this game came out in 2024, but might be my personal GOTY for 2025 since it just came to PC.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is nothing short of a masterpiece in the realm of RPGs. From the moment you step into its richly detailed world, you’re greeted with a level of depth and immersion that is truly unparalleled. Here are some highlights that make this game stand out:

Storytelling and Characters
The narrative is gripping, filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Each character you encounter is meticulously crafted, with their own unique backstories, motivations, and personalities. The voice acting is top-notch, bringing these characters to life in a way that few games manage to achieve. You also have more agency than most other games can allow, and they're continuously adding to that even a year later into 2024.

Gameplay and Mechanics
The gameplay mechanics are both intuitive and deep, offering a perfect blend of strategy and action. The turn-based combat system is challenging yet rewarding, requiring you to think several steps ahead. The choices you make have real consequences, affecting not only the story but also your relationships with other characters.

Visuals and Sound
Visually, Baldur’s Gate 3 is stunning. The environments are beautifully rendered, from lush forests to dark, foreboding dungeons. The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the game. Coupled with an evocative soundtrack and immersive sound effects, the game creates an atmosphere that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. It hits this odd feeling of nostalgia that I simply cannot place.

Replayability
One of the most impressive aspects of Baldur’s Gate 3 is its replayability. With multiple classes, races, and choices to explore, each playthrough feels fresh and exciting. The game encourages experimentation, allowing you to approach challenges in a variety of ways.

Conclusion
In summary, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a triumph in game design and storytelling. It sets a new standard for what an RPG can be, offering an experience that is both deeply personal and epic in scope. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series or a newcomer, this game is a must-play.

Absolutely incredible game. Dripping in atmosphere, amazing sound design along with a solid soundtrack to go with... I found myself taking screenshots everywhere just from how well the areas were designed as well. This game has such a good art style, coupled with scenery that left me in awe.

On top of all that, the game plays like something out of a Half-Life 2 game (with some interesting call backs to it too!). I went in knowing what Stray was, but getting to play it first-hand was a much more incredible experience.

The only thing I'd say about the game is that I wish it was longer. You can tell they poured their hearts into this title though, and I hope we can see a sequel to this sometime in the future. Absolutely amazing world to explore.

Hats off to the dev team, 9.5/10.

Very atmospheric and fun, without trying to force a story through words. Let's you just come to your own conclusions, which I really like.

PUBG is a fast-paced survival game. You're not going to run for hours on end only to find a pistol without a magazine. You might however land in a hotzone and get knocked out with a frying pan while trying to load a shotgun within the first minute of landing.

The devs have added a whole new map, new buildings, guns, vehicles, sounds, UI, animations, vaulting, along with optimizations to the game for 1.0. Nvidia has also released a driver update, citing optimizations for PUBG for those who might need it.

As far as hackers go, I've yet to come across any. I will say this though: there's no shame in dying in this game. Land in the hot zones if you want to get better at combat. Land in remote zones if you actually want to get your chicken dinner.

Let me break it down to help decide whether I rate this up or down.

Pros:
Good scenery
Good music
Decent platforming
Easy to figure out levels

Cons:
Story is generic
Game is glitchy at times when shooting guns specifically
Terrain needs work, as some jumps are just completely annoying
Underused / confusing design choices
Over-tutorialized

In regards to glitches, the use of guns and the terrain can really make this game a chore. There is a distinct difference between levels that require skill and finesse to pull off, and levels that are just poorly designed. The last few levels of the game really stuck out the most, but only because of how obnoxious they were because of gun firing issues or a character falling into the water because the animation screwed up when you're supposed to be helping them up.

There were also mechanics that seemingly went way underused. You use them a handful of times and not even up to their full potential. They feel planted for just a few key moments, then you're free to ignore them versus actually trying to figure things out like a real puzzle and truly putting these new abilities or items to use.

That being said, the game starts off really amazing. By the end of it though, I couldn't wait for it to be over. Not sure if I should rate this up or down though still, but I'll rate it up at least for being engaging enough to want to finish it.
