This is a very fun little rogue-lite. I'd love to see the ship expanded to support four players ideally, but my partner and I had fun with what exists in its current form. I gave the game a go in single player and found that a little frustrating in comparison - it feels poorly balanced in that way.

Got someone to play with? Grab this one!
Forever alone? Maybe pass this time.

I thought I'd have a quick play over lunch. Now I need to have an awkward conversation with my boss...

Excellent game. 10/10 - would destroy career again

Don't let Square Enix get away with this lazy money-grab of de-master.

- Poor frame rate (locked at 15).
- Extreme screen tearing at any resolution (no vsync option - played on 3060ti)
- AI upscaled backdrops look horrible.
- Cut scenes look really bad.
- No widescreen support (I'd be okay with this one, but worth noting for some.)

Back in the day I imported this game as I'm based in the UK - so I could use the disks to play the game on an emulator. I can tell you that the emulation experience is much better than what you're getting with this version of the game, so play that instead.

This remaster has clearly been created with low-effort and the intent to print money on the basis of nostalgia. My sympathies to the engineers that put time into this. Square Enix clearly has the finances to redraw the backdrops, but instead the AI upscaling has resulted in a blurry unidentifiable mess.

Was very excited for this, and it's very cute. But it's worth noting that there are a handful of bugs that effected me (which I hope will be fixed soon, I'll be waiting eagerly for a patch.)

- Clipping of UI on ultra widescreen resolutions.
- Mouse control sometimes freezes when moving around.
- Because of above switched to controller, and sometimes UI elements don't respond to controller button mappings.

Still, these are likely simple things to solve, and I'll be back snapping puppers when the next patch hits.

Great game with a really interesting mechanic. Really enjoyed the experience and stuck around to get all the endings. Huge value for the price!

Early Access Review
Played with the other half. Three spaghetti's later the week had past and we didn't notice. Would neglect responsibilities again. 15/10

Ok, I was a kickstarter backer, but regardless I'm going to have to be completely honest..

You had me at the battle music.

Great work!

What a pleasant little game. Full of character and wonderful voice overs. I'm always happy to see a game try something new, and this felt different and fresh. Great work! Sparky is awesome!

An extremely dark and psychologically challenging pixel art puzzler. The style of gameplay is comparable to that of 1991's "Another World" and involves switch puzzles, careful timing and jumping locations, along with a few hidden object and simple sword combat segments. To say anymore would be to ruin the game. For me a play through was four hours, but an enjoyable four hours with the beautiful pixel art graphics to be expected from a Chucklefish published game. If you're short on cash then wait for a sale, but for the intricate pixel art and the memorable story line I think the price is fair. 7/10

The writing / narration of this title makes me cringe rather hard. It feels like the context is forced rather than found by the user. I assume the game wasn't originally built in English and it has been translated or something. Having said that, the art is lovely, the animations are decent, and the puzzles seem fine. Once you get past the cringy writing there's something there. Nice to see all the nods back to previous adventure games.
