When this game first released, I quit it after the prologue. I don't remeber much about it fromback then, but I do remeber that i couldn't be bothered to learn the progression system, all the items and various mechanics.

Fast forward to early 2026, i have a little bit of spare time and i was really intrigued by KCD2. So i decided to give the original a go.

It's one of the best action RPGs i've ever played. You see, my approach was comoletely wrong. Younger me probably wanted to ♥♥♥♥ around and find out. Like you did in skyrim, in witcher 3 etc. KCD doesn't let you. Until you go through the secind tutorial with Bernard in Rattay. Thats when u learend not to skip dialogue options in this game. And that just opened up the game for me. I'm deepninto the main quest, i did a ton of side quests andnim just having a blast. My Henry is virtually impervious to physical attacks. And started off by being lost it rattaybst night, getting a ticket fromnthebcity guard for not holding a torch, and unable to find bed to sleep in, getting kicked out from each bed from the slums, until i was able to sneak into one of the inns and crash in bed that i didn't pay for. Then i went and picked Belladonnas for 15 minutes, did a little cooking, found bandages an went after bandits and Cumans. This is inenfo those games you have to get good to enjoy it. And you get good just by doing things, and being patient.

Ifnyou want medieval simulator that is actually an RPG, get this game. It's one of the best ever made.
