Even though this is made by valve themselves, it's absolutely crazy to me that they're allowed to just change the name from CS:GO to CS2 and "update" the game to keep their almost 9 million reviews and overall "very positive" rating. This game doesn't resemble the game I used to love to play and show off the skills I have acquired for the game during my almost 7k hours (with around 6k of those hours being in CS:GO).

This game no longer have a proper skill gap, it almost feels like a big mushy pit of randomness with highly skilled players easily being run and gunned down by much lower skilled players who barely knows what's going on in the game. Holding angles and being peeked was also a problem in CS:GO but in this game you sometimes barely see the player killing you when they peek. If not for them just instantly landing a running headshot on you before you can react.

The movement and gun play feels heavy and slow and even clicking heads is not nearly as satisfying as it was in CS:GO. Standing still and clicking on another players head can even lead to a miss because the bullet doesn't go directly where you aim. "What you see is what you get" and the entire "subtick server" system must be the biggest joke valve has ever put into existence. Instead of giving the players what they want they try to create something new but failing at it and then just ignore the players inputs about it. Even adding a setting that fakes responsiveness client side (I take back what I said before, this is their biggest joke) which also doesn't work and makes the experience far worse.

It's been almost 2 years since the "update" and the game is still broken. The only updates we get are either useless, not wanted or *omg* new skins. And I get it, all their revenue comes from cases and skins but almost all major updates now are skins related and not gameplay. They've removed multiple game modes that the players actually enjoy and operations will properly never be seen again.

So many DM servers are filled with bots farming weekly drops because of the genius idea of making the game free-to-play and VAC "anti-cheat" (maybe) only works if you have multiple players for an entire half of a premier match doing nothing but reporting a player that is spinning in circles and getting instant headshots whenever they see a player. And that is not even a ban, that's just a slap on the wrist and a timeout for 30 min. Then they can go back to rage toggling cheats because they got killed by a player with actual skill that's just simply better than them. But they don't know, because so many players are cheating on valve's own servers. That's why people migrate to using 3rd party matchmaking and anti-cheats but it actually works and people are getting banned on a regular basis. But valve even had to ruin that by forcing 3rd party's to run their servers at 64 tick rather than the smooth and responsive 128 tick back in CS:GO.

I know making a bad review won't change the hunger for money that valve is possessed by, but I just hope more people would sound their concern for a game we used to love to play rather than a game we can't even recognize anymore and maybe somehow make valve pour the same passion they once had into this new game so we all play the game we deserve.

Not all of us wants sparkly skins, we want our game back.
