Proper no-nonsense sequel to Dead Island. If you wanna kill zombies, this is the game for you. Few bugs, runs great on most hardware, looks amazing, and the combat's really satisfying.

The biggest negative I can think of is probably the characters. I didn't find any of them particularly attractive or enticing, but Dead Island's about killing zombies so whatever - the skills are cool and that's most of what matters. I also think that conversation flow is really stunted in some quests, but that's about most of what I think is problematic.

In an era of mainly ♥♥♥♥♥♥, half-assed games made by people who don't play them, Relink stands out as a game made with utter care to almost every single small detail. It plays smoothly, the combat system is well-thought out and simple to learn, there's a lot of character variety despite there effectively only being two buttons to press in combat, and it runs amazingly.

Pick it up and you'll see the love the developers put into it. It deserves the money.
