I best describe this game as a love letter to the days where you might find a game like this in a giant arcade cabinet. The graphics aren't super photo realistic, and the controls aren't going to be your average flight simulator, but it looks and behaves how you would expect an arcade game would.
While easy to pick up and learn the basics, it is a game that is not easy to beat. You will die. A lot. It becomes less about killing everything in sight and more about doing your objectives as fast as possible, before the enemy has a chance to swat you out of the sky. (And trust me, they can and will.) But you can learn about your enemy. Study them. Learn what they can and can't do. There's even little descriptions that you can use to learn about the lore of this game. (Does that lore do you any good? No, not really, but it's one of those small details you appreciate!) You can upgrade your aircraft's arsenal, or just outright chance what you're flying. It has a surprising amount of replay value, and allows you to find an aircraft that fits your playstyle. While I admit the workshop is a little lacking, Sky Rouge does have its own website with a far more active modding community - everything from new planes to full-blown custom campaigns! I would argue that the sky is the limit.

At the end of the day, Sky Rogue sets out to capture the days of when gaming wasn't found in your home, but rather the local arcade. And it did so with great stylized graphics, butter smooth frame rates, and a fantastic soundtrack to wrap it all up.

I never thought I'd end up with a Bucket forced into my hands. Seemed like a silly gimmick at first.
Now I can't imagine playing the game without the Bucket. Like I genuinely question how Stanley could have possibly functioned without it.

...I envy him.

I had to wait so long to get an achievement that they made a sequel.

It's a little bit glitchy (mostly the lasers not doing damage), but the fact that this game functions at all when you consider how dysfunctional the Source engine is, I think it should be considered a miracle the game functions at all.

On a different note, the tests were difficult, but when the puzzle 'clicked' it was very rewarding. They made sense, and you can tell a lot of time and effort was put into each one.

10/10 would suffer from liquid brain syndrome again

Is it a cashgrab? Probably.
But I think it was very much worth the $0.99 I spent. It's got all that Portal humor we've come to love, the official voice actress for GLaDOS, and enough puzzles to keep you busy for quite a while.

Oh, and it has a level editor/Steam Workshop for even more levels, so you theoretically have no limits.

I would not call this a game so much as a simulation. You take apart guns, you put them back together, and you can see how they function in surprising detail. You can also compete with players to see who can disassemble and reassemble guns the fastest. I admit the graphics are not top of the line, but that's not very important for a 'game' like this.

This game is free to play - you unlock weapons by completing achievements - these range from simply taking apart a gun to doing so the fastest out of anyone else within a 24 hour period. As you can achievements, you gain experience, and that allows you to unlock more guns. You can also unlock ranges, where you can shoot guns and perform some basic tasks, such as taking down paper targets within a certain time.

There is a credit system as well, and these are obtained by becoming a champion on any gun within a 24 hour period, even if you only hold that title for a few seconds. You can actually purchase the guns, be it in small groups or just simply unlocking everything.

Overall, I'd say it's a good 'game'. You get to kill time and learn about all sorts of guns. They're regularly updating the game with more guns as well.

This experience has been the most fun I've had with a video game in a long time, and I don't say that lightly.
