I still haven't beaten this game yet, but I'm hooked. It's not perfect by any means, but when it sings, it sings a beautiful, siren song. The weapons feel good, and each run sees you trying to assemble a play style that you enjoy, or salvaging your luck and making due with the circumstances, making an interesting challenge. There's a bunch of hidden stuff to look for too! Overall, it's worth the time and money to investigate this hidden gem

Scarlet Hollow is an excellent entry into the world of visual novels. The mechanics behind the scenes make the relationships feel real. Characters react to you based on how you behave towards them, and their behavior towards you reflects your growing relationships. The character creation system is simple, but extremely fun, and makes your play through feel unique and rewarding.

Once you've gotten used to the game and the characters, the game begins to get unsettling. This is definitely the first entry into what looks like a very scary story, and something is very wrong beneath the surface. If you want an adventure to celebrate the season, this short game is for you.
