My initial impressions of this game were that it was going to be absolute garbage that would betray eveverything Doom should be. However, upon release and after watching a few quick videos on YouTube I realized that wasn't the case at all. This is probably the most "classic doom" AAA title I've played in a long time. The guns and movement feel great, the story is minimal and the demons are plenty.

Perfectly captures both the visuals and tone of the original alien movie making this a treat for die hard fans. The gameplay can be hit or miss depending on how much you enjoy stealthy walking simulators, and it may have been just a couple hours too long for this kind of game - once you've spent enough time avoiding the alien you start to learn the way it behaves (which at times can seem like complete bs) and the repeated game of cat and mouse starts turning from tense to slightly annoying.
