Since Blizzard decided to make the worst choices a company can make and destroyed the quality of their game experience, I switched to this game full time. While it's still catching its stride, Rivals is the best 6v6 brawl experience I've ever known. I have yet to really have a terrible time at this game, no matter how terrible the players I'm matched with get.

Early Access Review
Beautiful game, continues well the tradition of ARPGs set forth by it's predecessors. Will one day be worth picking up.

However, in it's current state, the game lags and stutters nonstop. I spent an entire week trying to beat the last boss at the end of Act 1 and finally just decided to uninstall. I will return after it exits early access to see if the game performs more reasonably and if I can actually end Act 1. Until then, I suggest you keep your money.

A perfect blend of the survivors-like genre and a love of old action films. Best experience I've had all year.

The crossroads between survival crafting games and action RPGs has struck a beautiful middleground in V Rising. If you like vampires, this game is fantastic. If you have no friends to play with I'd suggest lowering settings to make it a bit easier, but overall this is one of the best times I've ever had on an early release indie title.

The psychological cat and mouse experiment of 4 players trying outwit 1 player is very fun and addictive in a classic arcade style of experience. While it has seen it's balancing over the years, the inevitable reality is that it's not really built for competitive play. It's a fun mental experiment with four other people. All that said, I'm a big horror fan and the number of licensed properties available really do the horror film genre justice. I love this game and cannot stop playing.

Early Access Review
I love this game. Even in early access, the combination of Breath of the Wild exploration mechanics, Dark Souls difficult style combat, rpg leveling, a complex skill tree, and voxel engine destructibility all add up to quite possibly the best survival game experience I've had and I've tried them all. I can't wait to see what we get when the game exits early access as the experience is well worth the money in it's current state. Must buy 10/10.

What is this game.

Really, what is this game? The jarring difference between art styles forced me to stop and walk away. I've never had this problem with a game before.

A game about why we make games.
About why games are made.
Despite being nothing more than an interactive art exibit, what makes this such a charming ride and worth the cost is that it has something that very few games released do. A real human experience.
And that hour and a half of gameplay is more moving and captivating that a hundred games I've played this year.
