This is a small anthology for Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative. The stores here complement those games.

For this release they divided the "extraverse" and the "betaverse" stories. The Extra Stories are a collection of really short stories of the heroines BEFORE extra and a longer story that works as "After Story" for Sumika's Route.

The Alternative stories expand over some events of the game and the most important and longer ones deal with some important characters that worked as mentors of Takeru in the story.

This game is really recommended if you liked the main games and want to know more about the characters.

Muv-Luv Alernative is the brilliant conclusion to the Muv-Luv saga. This will change how you appreciate and understand the previous games. If you haven’t played Extra and Unlimited I really recommend to, because those games build characters and the events on both games are referenced many times in Alternative.

Alternative starts not where Unlimited ended, it starts in the same place and time, but with a twist. Somehow our hero, Takeru, remembers most of Unlimited’s events, and using that knowledge he will try to save mankind from the bitter defeat it suffered at the end of the previous game.

Can he do it? Can he use his knowledge to save humanity? What are the Alternative Plans anyway?

Alternative ties all the events in Extra and Unlimited, expands the game’s universe geometrically, answers are given, and we finally learn the nature and the reason why Takeru is looping in space and time.

A love history, a story about the best qualities of love, but also a story about obsession, the power of love, for good or evil is central to Muv-Luv.

Extremely detailed military operations, complex characters, background politics, and an amazing fictional universe, seen from the eyes form a regular guy, who tries to do his best. Sometimes he will fail, sometimes he will be broken, but he is willing to do anything for the people he loves, for the girl he loves.

You need to read Extra and Unlimited to fully enjoy Alternative.

This is the second entry in a really special series. This one continues the story of milestone one, so reading that one is required, expands the already rich world they established, you learn that the Inner-Pole is not really a pretty and nice place for everyone.

With good characters, nice writing and beautiful music, you will be really absorbed into the story.
I have to confess; I came for Ritona but stayed for Rhegan.

Also, the first few minutes are EPIC.

It has a really nice story, it is not free of faults, it has some pacing problems (mostly noticeable in the last 2 chapters), but overall it delivers its contents in a good way, it creates an interesting and complex world, that we can only start exploring through the eyes of its characters.

The art is good, the character design is good, is full of details, those small details that make it unique. Also, Ritona, she is amazing. Believe me, she alone can earn the recommendation of this game (you see most of the plot through her eyes).

After I completed this game I can’t stop thinking on how it was deserving of more funding.
