Full disclosure I'm friends with the developer and have tested and given feedback during the production of the game!

After finishing the 5 game skautfold series Pugware/Steve has now moved onto making his dream RPG, A story that's been written for many years and in many ways his magnum opus.

Using all the skills he's developed over the years has led to making a pretty unique combat system based around his original focus/guard mechanism from the skautfold series which keeps combat interesting and engaging relying on QTE's and A sort of Rock paper scissors system for Increased damage. It can seem slightly overwhelming at first but after a few battles it all clicks into place and feels very rewarding.

This is also the first game to feature voice acting and I think the majority of the cast do a really great job, the music is also really good

The story has been pretty great so far A lot of Anime inspiration for sure which sort of goes hand and hand with rpgs so it works very well and I really can't wait to see where the rest of it goes with the next part.

All in all its a great unique jrpg inspired game that definitely deserves more attention in a scene flooded with rpgmaker games.

Feels like going to a fantasy theme park in all the best ways just don't expect a decent story.
It does have some "interesting" design choices but they've been quick to listen to feedback and make changes to improve it.

I've put in nearly 30 hours and feel like I've barely scratched the surface so maybe my opinion will change in time but for now its an easy recommend!

After A "few" hours I can easily say I love this game...

Best advice I can give is just have fun and don't get angry if you lose your loot. Free loadouts are always available and If you're playing solo keep it stealth or at least use the emotes or VoIP to communicate with other raiders, Your life will be much easier if you do.

See you in Speranza

Had a great time with this one, Its rare to be so hooked on a game nowadays you just finish it in a couple of sessions.

Highly recommend anyone who likes the look of it to try the demo and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings to this solo developer

This is probably one of the best hidden gems I've seen in a long time.

It feels like its taken Hotline miamis style of fast paced die and retry combat and mixed it with the exploration and mystery of a souls game. It is very hard to start off with combat wise but It won't take long to adjust to how it works and ultimately becomes very satisfying when clearing whole rooms with ease.

Now it does have some downsides the movement can be a bit janky in some areas, I've gotten stuck on rocks without being able to get off them and had to restart a few times but with it being early access I assume these will be fixed over time. Also one other complaint some areas seem a bit too dark its fine when you have a torch but being shot from something you can't see in the darks never fun.

Overall though I'm really enjoying the game so far and will update the review when I've finished it, I just wanted to get something out there since the game has a criminally low amount of reviews and deserves more attention!

I finished this on gamespass and loved it so much I had to show support by buying it, thought I should load it up for 10 mins so I could leave a review but ended up getting sucked in for hours (again) will definitely sneak in another full playthrough soon though since the gameplay is extremely addictive.

In terms of the actual game though its a Turn based RPG with a lot of quick time and reflex based skills such as dodging and parrying often relying on visually reading enemies attacks and audio cues, There is a massive amount of build possibilities with some being completely broken and for some of the much harder optional bosses actually needed.

The story is exceptionally well written and has a memorable cast you'll grow to love quite quickly, I don't really want to spoil anything about it though so Its best to just go in completely blind if possible.

For a first release by Sandfall its extremely impressive and I look forward to see what the future brings.

The vibes in this game are immaculate, While it has had some "interesting" ideas with things like water thankfully they are open to suggestions and have tweaked system so playing the game doesn't become a job, where if you miss a few days some of your progress gets wiped.

I do feel sorry for those who spent time grinding unseemly amounts of water before this change and are upset their time was wasted but ultimately people don't want to be forced to play the games they've bought, it may be good for engagement but its also good for pissing people off so going forward this is better for everyone.

I look forward to seeing how the game progresses with more updates over time
