Most of the time I love this sort of game in theory/concept but ultimately refund it after an hour and a half because it becomes tedious in a way that makes it feel like work (or a grind), rather than leisurely fun. News Tower is fun as hell. It really scratches the itch of sim/management for me while maintaining the primary objective of video games - to be enjoyable. I love various real news stories sprinkled in and the mechanics have been introduced at a perfect pace which is up to the player as progression is based on a physical map of districts.
So, soooo good

The best soundtrack I've heard in a game in a long time, and with gameplay and art to match. I suck at this game, and the one-shot approach is difficult as hell, but also extremely rewarding once to piece together a run. I sort of feel it's a puzzle game as much as it is a fast-paced platformer. I am only a few short hours in because of how tough I've found it, but I am damn sure I'll be pushing onwards if only to experience the equally enticing storyline/writing and the soundtrack that elevates the game as a whole. Overall, Laika is a true example of video games being artistic as any other medium. I adore it, even though I'm bad :)

Super crispy feeling to this fast-paced game that hits in all the right ways. I toss on some music and slam through levels now that I've got a hang of the game it feels soooo good throwing down a sick line and my f**k ups and fails only make me have even more fun. Killer art, vibe, gameplay and mechanics -- I toss on my own music for this one because there's nothing better than locking in to your favourite beats <3

Early Access Review
Incredible game that far exceeds ACNH in so many ways. Can not wrap my head around it being made by a one person team. Unreal!

The first snowboarding game I ever played was Amped back in 2001 on the original Xbox and I've been chasing that high ever since. Shredders is the best snowboarding game ever and I've only played an hour and begun to learn the mechanics. The fluidity, atmosphere, and most importantly the physics all work so much better than any other snowboarding title I've ever played and it isn't even a competition.

I recently was looking to run Amped on my PC somehow because of how desperately lacking other titles have been over the years. Titles such as: Shaun White Snowboarding, a variety of SSX titles, SNOW, Steep, Riders Republic, and others I've forgotten. All of which I have poured many hours into just to try and get my snowboarding game fix but Shredders is the one. Even stomping something simple like a 360 FS Melon feels amazing. Not because the game is too difficult but because the physics and world-building feel grounded in reality.

FoamPunch absolutely slayed it and I'm looking forward to seeing the game progress.

Some things I would like to see added:
- Different times of day (dawn, dusk, night) edit: there is 1 night mission, but it would be cool to just be able to set the time of day in freeroam -- EDIT: You can set time of day via drone using LB+DPad, but it only works sometimes and dusk/dawn are underwhelming. No "golden hour".
- A lot more camera settings (FPV, angle of camera, FOV slider)
- Ability to hop off board to run up hill etc -- EDIT: The drone works just fine for this
- More sound settings to individually adjust dialogue and sound effects
- Weather/Precipitation would be cool
- Competitions and Events. The campaign and missions are pretty weird in their current state. Too many are spent following CPUs
- Headlamp for night riding and a darker night (optional?)

Improvements to be made:
- Scoring system is kinda whack. It's pretty much spin to win. FS 360 is 1600 points and a Double backflip is 2000 points. Point degradation for repeating tricks in succession would be cool too
- Collisions with some buildings isn't great, the bridge by the power station/dam is entirely 'fake'
- The map feels a touch barren. I enjoy the realism, but even still it feels like it could use a little more to liven it up and make areas feel different.
- More colour in places would be nice for a little bit of atmosphere. The entire screen is almost entirely white.
- Riding across paved/roads ice should have way less traction

Favourite game of all time.
Unquestionably the best competitive FPS ever.

But watch those wrists, folks! Thousands of hours in this game can really buck 'em up - pay attention to the signs and be pro-active with preventative measures to prevent damage!

If you love CS and want to play it 10-30 years from now it's worth the effort!

Signed,
- a guy with 4k hours who can only play about an hour at a time now due to wrist pain :)

Alright, CS2 has been out for a couple of years now and it's still hot-garbage compared to CS:GO. It's actually embarrasing. I kept trying to stay into it but it's just so lame now. I'm not even mad, just disappointed and sad that Valve is who they are despite being a private company. The buck stops at them. Oh well.

Spiritfarer quickly became one of my favourite games of all time and I don't even like 2D platformers.
The art, writing, music, gameplay and delivery all come together to create one of the best experiences a video game can offer. Wrought with emotion yet incredibly relaxing.
Sail the sea at your own pace and be formless, shapeless, like water - my friend. Allow yourself to form to this game for an unforgettable experience.

Phenomenal game. The visuals, audio, atmosphere are all on point, and I can't really find a fault there. I found the storyline to be a little shakey at times but ultimately a refreshing change of pace. Wish there was more to this title though - free roam was a start but I just want more Firewatch somehow - though I realize in my head it's likely best as is.

I suspect the real fix will come with Campo Santo's next game. Really hoping they become akin to thatgamecompany in that each of their games takes a stride into uncharted territory in some way or another.
