R u sure this is a demo?
It has more Quality of Life features than 90% of crafting survival games out there.
Feels very polished and fun to play.
Now just cook some content and take my money.

8/10 skyrim-like RPG with smaller world, better gameplay and narrative

It feels like the Witcher 1 or 2 equivalent, hopefully with a bit more money and time those devs might pull off the next masterpiece level RPG.

Personally, I'd prefer this game to be 3 times shorter/smaller but with better attention to detail and reactivity of the world. Nearly all character don't talk to you after you complete their quest - for example if you become stonewarden, no one will ever acknowledge this fact, not even their leader. (and this applies literally to every single quest and NPC in the game).

Also, a lot of quests (especially towards second half of the game) are go to X and kill or talk to Y, and get item Z) - however there are some nice exceptions and majority of the quests have great narrative even if the objective are quite simple.

Also, balance is atrocious, majority of skills are stat-boosts, and it is super easy to become OP (my mage with 800% magic damage, 100% crit chance, and 350% crit damage - literally one shot everything in act 3). There are tons of items, but majority of them have stupid/useless effects. 0 puzzles in dungeons. UI/UX problems, etc, etc.

Hey narrative team, in this piece of work, you have failed.

This is simply a lore dump that is missing any structure. There is no player motivation to participate in this story, you're basically a tourist that stumbled upon a museum.

> Go underwater (why? cuz we hit your face with a fish).
> Talk to Squidward -> retrieve stolen flute -> play flute
> Find 2 more Squidwards so they can play organ to wake up another Squidward
> Kill boss Squidward
> Decide the fate of Sarras (why? cuz you can)

While the lore is interesting, devs completely failed at storytelling part. Also characters are lackluster and ugly, you absolutely don't care about them, also since story lines are so short, you don't even have time to get attached to any character.

The only good part is it adds just a bit more areas to explore, a bit more items and side quests.

For $15 or less is decent value but there is a lot of room for improvement. 6/10

Early Access Review
terrible enemy design (super easy, unappealing, looks like AI slop)
atrocious gunplay (you don't feel impact of bullets, if you remove numbers, it would feel even worse)
on videos looked fun, in reality it is not
If you have played a ton of rogue-likes/lites before, this doesn't offer anything fresh or interesting

This game is a joke. Even though it offers a fresh and incredible experience in the extraction genre, two things completely undermine it: the third-person view and the player-spawn system (the feature that loads people mid-raid).

About 90% of your deaths come from just two factors, even if **you’re very good at fair PvP fights:**
- someone ratting you by abusing the third-person camera,
- or getting 3rd-partied (though realistically it’s more like 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th-partied).
- (Optional, mostly for casuals) getting destroyed by ARCs.

They should’ve made the game first-person. It would be far more immersive - this game looks incredible, with its varied weather conditions and lighting. And ARCs would feel much scarier, letting you appreciate their massive scale. But most importantly, PvP would be much fairer. I can’t count how many times someone has ratted me from behind a corner. Long hallways are a death sentence: if you push, you die (unless they’re terrible at the game). In Buried City, people literally sit in windows and roofs without ever exposing themselves, scanning everything around them with third-person.

No matter how good you are, there are simply unwinnable situations - and they happen often. **Third-person makes this game heavily luck-based** and encourages players to rat and abuse the camera.

This issue is especially punishing for solos; if someone gets the jump on you, you’re dead. In duos or trios, at least your teammates can save you, cover more angles, or gather information to prevent rats. But even then, pushing a team down a long hallway is suicide unless you use a ton of utility or pull off a flank.

However, there’s an even bigger problem: third parties and the spawn system, which practically hands players easy third-party opportunities. In an extraction shooter, third parties are normal—that’s fine. But in this game, you kill one team and another shows up within ten seconds. You fight them, and a third team arrives. In duos, I’ve had raids where 10–16 people end up fighting in the same building or area. Sure, sometimes you win and end up standing on a pile of ten bodies, but often, no matter how good you are, you can’t take down six teams pushing nonstop without giving you time to heal. You either run out of resources or get overwhelmed by timings.

In solos it’s even worse, because players rat on top of everything else. You get two kills, heal up, scan the area—looks clear—and the moment you try to loot, someone who has been watching you in third-person the entire time swings you and kills you. Then they die to another person who just arrived, and the cycle repeats. I’d expect this chaos on Stella Montis, but it happens on every map, even the large ones. One major reason is the spawn system: the game keeps spawning players well into the raid. Sometimes literally in front of you (I once killed someone who spawned right before my eyes on Stella Montis), but usually behind you—even right after you spawned.

Sure, the game has tons of bugs - you can literally run inside walls, and the loot system (especially locked-room loot) doesn’t feel good, but none of those are the real issue. The third-person view in a low-TTK extraction game, combined with the spawn system, creates far too much frustration. And that’s why I can’t recommend this game unless those problems are addressed.

Thank you for "Let’s keep it real, keep it grounded” skins logic, now I don't have any desire to spend money on microtransactions cuz all of skins look cheap, terrible and not worth to buy. (Basically default military camos with different color or pattern). You saved my wallet.

Great game btw
