The game is fun, classic Borderlands Humor, Claptrap still being himself, and more guns than you can imagine. Movement compared to the previous games feels a lot nicer, a lot smoother and less jank. Much like other reviews say, optimization needs some work. I don't have the best PC in the world, sitting over here with an RTX 3060, but I'm averaging about 50-60 FPS, albeit on low graphics. The last patch (at the time of writing this) did help me in giving about another 10. Then the lag I feel playing co-op really needs work. I'm talking about when i shoot, the rounds don't fire for another full second, or sometimes the rounds don't even register a hit. I don't get that playing solo, just co-op. It can be frustrating. The UI doesn't feel as nice as the previous games either, maybe its just me, but i feel like they can be done a lot smoother, especially when it comes to sorting the inventory. I'm excited to see where future patches take it, and I really hope they can optimize it a lot better, but it's also running on the Unreal Engine 5, which is trash and easily one of the worst performing engines I've had the experience of playing on. Other than all that though, thanks for reading my opinion, I recommend giving it a go.

The game is great. Remember, it’s a Bethesda game, so it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
Game crashed? No it didn’t, it closed itself out so you can take a break and drink some water.
A bug caused a quest to prematurely end? Wrong, you were done with that quest and you don’t deserve a reward for helping out that NPC.
Does the game refuse to load the interior of a building or cave? Guess what? You don’t need to go in there anyways, there’s nothing important for you there.
In all seriousness though this is the original game with fancier graphics. Still a classic and very fun to play, even despite its various “features” lol. Whether you want the “remastered” version for the price of a new game, or the original game of the year for $15, this is a great game to have in my opinion. It’s open world and there’s numerous possibilities of what kind of game breaking character build you can do. So have at it!

It's very much built for team play. Its got its flaws of course, such as enemies spawning behind you, clipping through the walls, there's no way to resupply meds or ammo without a friend, which is cool and all, but if that buddy goes down then you're SOL. Other than that, it's absolutely visually beautiful, gun play is awesome, and the focus on teamwork and communication is a must. The fact that it's free to play makes it better too, as it allows people to jump in and at least give it a try before fully dismissing it. Hopefully they fix some of the bugs throughout the future or allow AI teammates for those players who like to play solo. Very much recommend.

I want to like this game, I really do, but I can't bring myself to. I played during the betas, when they would have their game open for set times to the public and my friends and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I decided to come back to it the last couple weeks, and the game is not as I remember. Two bugs specifically make me just get off the game, and after this last time I've just decided to uninstall it. One of two things will happen every game without fail, either a black screen upon death after the bleed out timer runs out, at which point you cant do anything except Alt+F4 out of the game, or the server becomes completely unresponsive, with players running in place or rubber banding back and forth forever until I leave the game. Then i can rejoin the same game and play until it happens again. As far as i can tell upon googling these, it's been happening for a while. Then looking back and seeing there hasn't been an announcement for the game since March 2 (according to my steam library) and people in the discussions constantly asking for an update from the developers, has me believing that the developers have given up on this game, which I hope isn't true because the potential of this game is there. Hopefully I can come back in the future and see the game has been updated and turned it around, but I won't be holding my breath for it.

It's a great game and I love the whole Truman Show thing they did with it. The only thing I don't like is how short the game is. If your'e gonna pick it up, get it from the Humble Bundle pack they have, (at the time of writing this) or wait for it to go on sale. Maybe one of the many sites that sell game keys has it for cheaper too. I do recommend it though for sure!

The first enemy I fought after entering the DLC area stomped my face in 3 or 4 times before I killed him. At the same time, my buddy was streaming his screen and was fighting Logur, The Beast Claw, who has claws and runs around in a diaper. Wolverine, my buddy fought Wolverine. 11/10, can't wait to see what else is in store as I continue my journey!

The game is fantastic, just what I wanted from a Starship Troopers game.
