Great game!

I would normally recommend it, but there is a major issue and that is only fixable with modding. More on that later.

The game uses a tiny FOV of 46 (!), which makes me feel nauseous playing at my desk.

It should not be acceptable to release a PC game in 2026 without FOV control, it is even more absurd that some of their past RE games have that feature!

Thankfully there are multiple great mods to fix this.

I've changed it to 60, which fixed the issue for me without comprising on the horror.

Sadly, Capcom uses "anti tamper" technology to prevent modding, and new patches change things around so that modders need to find new ways to work around it again and again.

Capcom should stop investing into anti tamper technology and instead focus on making great games and offering basic PC features like FOV controls.

I will gladly update this review once Capcom adds FOV control (realistic), or allows modding (unrealistic).
