an excellent Wildslike game. lots of "aha" moments that make you feel smart.
it's delightful to look at and just as pleasant to hear (they really found the perfect hedge trimmer sound to not drive you insane).
there are a few spooks and they hit just right.
it's great how many ways there are to solve a task or find an item.

only negative thing i felt while playing was that a few uses of those items aren't obvious unless you really go around trying to use x tool on everything you find and just never give up until you find one of the like four possible use cases for it. but i'll concede that solving that, design-wise, is kind of impossible - you can't expect 100% of players to get 100% of the "aha" moments without dulling the experience.

yeah no this is great
everything about it
remarkable how the world is built to enable self-directed discovery that makes you feel so smart when you build on things you've learned and inferred

online coop input lag is unbearable
broken game not exaggerating
i've read the explanations - it's a relic of the 360 programming
but man it still sucks
not even local splitscreen as a consolation

Super cool. If you're a math nerd, some of these might be easier for you. If you're not, you will still probably have fun. There are community guides that will give hints but not spoil it for you. Soundtrack is very cool, too! Considering a 90 minute movie ticket is $10, this game is worth the price.

Don't hesitate to buy this. This game is tragically overlooked.

9/10 - very close to perfect

Oregon trail with zombies, just like everyone else says. If you like permadeath, randomness, and writing that doesn't take itself too seriously, you'll appreciate it.

Tons of replayability. You'll keep playing to find new random events and special characters. There are lots of different character builds to try out, too. You will find special in-game random character cameos from your favorite games. There's a good amount of weapons and items, too. You can make your own players to look just like you. Make your friends, your family, your coworkers, and celebrities and assign them funny character traits and abilities. There are several game modes, changing difficulty, game length, and rarity of special characters. RPG style progression is solid, too. There now exist some character perks, which if you want to collect all, you will need to beat the game several times. All the above make the game fun enough to play, even if you know the loose story and have beaten it many times before.

The game feels more than complete for $15, but the developer still adds content as of writing!

Music is terrific and very tasteful. Earworm material.

Graphics are charming and also very tasteful. There will be pixelated blood trails and piles of organs on your screen.

The writing is very witty and I love sharing the game with friends. You'll want to tell your disinterested friends about the crazy stories you've created in your various game runs.

No complaints about AI. You're able to easily control the combat behavaior of AI teammates.

UI/UX is solid. You can remap keys. No mouse required to play. Not sure if I overlooked this, but I wish you could map friendly AI combat behavior to hotkeys, though. I've encountered no gamebreaking bugs.

There is same-screen co-op PvE multiplayer, too! But the way the camera works and when one player goes through a door and the way one person leads at a time feels kind of weird. I think the devs may or may not be working on this. Online multiplayer would make this game a 10/10 but I understand it'd be too difficult for devs to add with anything less than major code rewrites.

The game is honestly a bit difficult. Characters will die a lot. While there is certainly a difficulty curve, you will eventually overcome it. It took me maybe one or two dozen hours before I 'beat' the game. But now, I do beat most runs I start.

The existing game modes keep the same game but effectively only change difficulty and game length. I'd love some kind of endless horde defense mode, separate from the 'journey' aspect.
