TL:DR — Game is incredibly ambitious with lots of cool, interesting mechanics that would flourish with a competent team that doesn't continually antagonize its player base. Nesting and skin system is one of a kind, totally unique, and worthy of being its own thing. The game is decently fun with friends, hellish to play solo, clans are rampant on official servers, and community servers are bullied by the development team for having more players than officials.

I don't recommend it.

7 years, devs have not improved. Continue to antagonize, belittle, and outright argue with the community. Chances are if you earn something cool, the lead dev will implement a broken, spaghetti code patch down the line that breaks it, and then tell you, near verbatim: "Sucks to suck".

A real shame, since BoB is genuinely one of the most beautiful dinosaur games on the market with an incredible art style. Will beg for feedback but not take it, and mock people for making feedback if it is "the same thing as everyone else" instead of, I don't know, noticing a pattern.

I've spent an embarrassing amount of hours in this game playing what is essentially gacha, but twice as painful with no "bad luck" fallback, for shiny skins, in a system they refuse to optimize, and continually break. Your time is not valued, even if all you do is survive and grow, all that matters is that you keep playing to pad their ever-decreasing active player count.
