Early Access Review
As a gamer who wants to learn Japanese this really tickles my fancy. I've been learning Japanese for over a month now basically grinding letters in Duolingo when I stumbled on this game in a reddit advertisement. After trying the game it's been really fun! The gradual change in the language bit by bit as the letters become Japanese is so cool! It's extremely satisfying to see the language gradually change from English to Japanese.

The only con is the resolution. In my opinion It's better then doing duolingo on the phone as the letters sometimes get small. But the lack of ability to pick the resolution is probably the greatest weakness I see. Naturally this is only an issue if you want to play the game in windowed mode. If you play in fullscreen it's perfectly fine as it fills the screen.

The plot is actually kind of interesting. Learning Japanese and learning why it's forbidden it just enough cool that it keeps you drawn in as you progress through the language.

I really hope the game developer goes on to make a katakana expansion pack or even a kanji expansion pack.

Feature recommendation: As I play the game I feel that it would be great if the enemies had a health bar. It would help me know if I'm getting close or far in defeating that pesky princess!

As someone who liked Dark Souls 2 but not 1 or 3 as much I can say Elden Rings is a great game. Basically it comes down to the combat system, movement system, and most important for me, the feeling of exploration and adventure. This feeling is generated by the evolving word, glorious landscape and scenary, and deadly combat along with one or two memorable NPC's with interesting dispositions. Plus this game has many alternate endings and so if you just want to kick butt, try out weapons, and explore plot then this is the game for you.

Boss cell progression and item collection makes the game fun for a long time.

Must play with mods. The game is great for a single play through roughly 10 hours of content. Then the basic game has region lock as you've probably heard that makes you start all over again. It's a pretty lame feeling. Mods thankfully fix a bunch of bugs, enable artifacts to increase damage, and turn off region lock. So instead of spending time grinding the same equipment over and over you can spend time tackling dungeons getting artifacts and grinding for the best yellow gear combo you can get.

If you play with friends you can all load the same mods and play together.

Satisfying progression. Overcoming bosses, previously unkillable mobs and discovering epic castles is all apart of why I like Dark Souls 2.

Games pretty decent now that there's an easier version. The hard mode just seemed to escape my ability to master.

FPS seems better now.
