Would I recommend this game to others?

Absolute-ly! hehe.
If you know, you know. :)

Best game I've played in years and would easily be in my top three of all time.

Life Is Incredible!

It was a lucky bit of fate for me that this game made it into the Steam summer sale otherwise I may have missed out on this rollercoaster fun experience in storytelling. This will be the first time I've taken the effort to try and write something about a game I've played. So would I recommend this game?

Short answer: Most Definitely!

Longer answer: For a game that uses a mechanic that literally allows you to rewind time and choose differently, you might wonder how your choices can matter; until you play it. At first I got stuck in the mentality of "Should I really be doing this action, will this character have a negative reaction to this?" - which if you imagine YOURSELF in the shoes of the main character can be kind of a big deal. Thus I'm guessing that I may have missed a fair bit of content in Episode 1, an oversight I shall 'rewind' and correct in a future play through (and after Episode 2 there WILL be a future play through). Which is why I'd highly recommend this: explore everywhere, talk to everyone, touch everything - you can always rewind and in some cases this leads to even more content. The smallest little average detail that can seem insignificant at the time can actually open up new and different options later on down the road (Yes, I'm looking at you seemingly random object that I cannot name here). That's the first thing that I found to be impressive. There are also lots of little humorous one-liners and other little Easter Eggs; such as an innocently placed 1337, or the name Amelia Pond (any Doctor Who fans out there?) showing up on a receipt. There are things that can happen that will shape and define the in game world throughout the rest of the story (as in all future episodes). I'm not talking about your mandatory "this will happen no matter how you choose" kind of content. "Impressive, most impressive" -Vader. Sure you can rewind to see how the characters around you respond to option A vs. option B, but you still have to choose between. That choice... has the potential to come back up in the future in a different light and with a different perspective, not at all unlike Real Life. Impressive the third. Like any great story sometimes you'll be left sitting there saying: "Wha-wha-what just happened?!"

Maybe I get impressed too easily? Everyone has different tastes, however I honestly can't recall a story driven game that I've gotten so immersed in. This feels more like something that could have been a mini-series or even a fully realized television series. Except that it takes it one step further by being both interactive and by engaging its audience to participate.

At the time of this writing I have played through Episodes 1-3 and I am looking forward to the final two completing the experience (even if it will be sad when there is no more to follow). Personally I'd love to see more games out there like this and to see the next evolution in "Choice matters" story gaming. I also found it somewhat half difficult to say what I wanted to say about this game without getting into spoiler territory. I hope I was at least somewhat successful.

Final remarks: Worth every penny and then some. DONTNOD keep going with this and... Life Is Strange 2... maybe?
