Rock solid survival crafting stuff. Enjoyed it immensely, looking forward to the DLC.

Early Access Review
When I was offered a copy of this 2D side-scrolling zombie survival game, I asked myself the only sane question a gamer would ask in such a circumstance:

Is this game like Skyrim?

The game centers heavily on base management (not like Skyrim), character needs management (not like Skyrim unless you have a survival mod), and sneaking through buildings and picking up a bunch of random junk (VERY MUCH LIKE SKYRIM).

Just like in Skyrim, sneaking makes you move a little bit slower but makes you harder to detect, so it is very important unless you are extremely sure you are safe, or are running for your life. Unlike Skyrim, even if you think you're safe, you probably aren't. Keep sneakin'.

The characters are very well realised (like Skyrim) including whichever your starting pair are (not like Skyrim). Graphics are great (much better than Skyrim, though that's mostly an age thing), audio design is awesome (like Skyrim). I'm starting to see the outlines of multiple narrative paths to escape the city, which is nice (and not like Skyrim).

Overall, I would say that this game is not very much like Skyrim. But I am enjoying it anyway? Weird.

Seems very promising, hits all the right notes. Tense but not enough to put me off it, and it looks like it'll scratch the resource management/action economy itch too. Looking forward to the full release!

I have just finished my first ending. Said OH! loudly to my monitor. Pressed 'Begin' again.

Take an 80 Days style location-based branching narrative, add in some Banner Saga tactical movement gameplay, season to taste.

One run through took me an hour and a half, so Pendragon also fills that lovely niche of 'long enough to get into, but not long enough to consume your entire evening' that I have liked so much in some of inkle's previous titles.

If you enjoyed 80 Days, you'll probably enjoy this too.
