Alright, Here goes... Personally I like this game but I'm going to keep it real so I'm going to give an honest review of Resident Evil: Requiem.

* I did initially have this as not recommended. I gave it a few days and changed my mind and I will recommend this game.
The game and the content keep drawing me in although I have fully completed the game. I really anticipate what they will add to this game assuming they do.

- This review was done with the game at 100% completion

!!!Please note that this review will probably have spoilers.
I don't recommend reading this review If you have yet to play this game. But if you don't care, feel free to read.

-take some of these with a grain of salt and frankly some other reviews that are hard Lore goblins id look into theirs as well and pick some information out of of them. There's a reason why they do get listed as not recommended aside from meme jokes. they're genuinely reviewed with care sometimes

The Upsides:
  • I really appreciate the intertwined lore with this specific story in this release.
  • The OST is amazing. The Credits song "Through the Darkness" in my opinion is the best.
  • The Environmental tones that they put in this game were phenomenal.
  • The graphics that were put into the game are fantastic. Although the smaller textures Could be more detailed
  • The combat functionality is fairly great. Once you figure it out.
  • The first part of the game and the tone of horror that played out was great and nostalgic.
Neutral:
- Although a fairly new game at the time of this writing, crashes were encountered to where I would be prompted with an error and thus the game would be force closed with an error report.
*Was encountered 4 times. I did not take the time to screen shot the specific error. But I did keep a reference of the error code references that were given. so for fun I'll also list in this review
FXV3JDT45LAP
DTK7RLE48QYS
PC4QE8RJHF7T
9DE3KTFJ6QAY
- Some bugs were encountered with specific enemies (such as pathing issues.) I believe they did make changes (some) to correct. Some playthroughs of the game did not have the same issues.

Now..
I particularly don't have many gripes when it comes down to the Resident Evil series, but that being said....
The Downsides:
During the run I encountered a bit of issues.

-After the first half there's a large identity crisis that occurs.

-Certain situations easily became predictable/repetitive when a jump scare was going to happen. The only time it varied a little different was in the Insanity difficulty but periodically.
* Insanity difficulty eventually fell short. The beginning was a large change, but later in the game it became the same mostly, some parts didn't even get reworked like I hoped.
Essentially it fell short of it being called Insanity in my opinion.

-I couldn't help but notice there was some areas that were inconsistent with the world/map designs that they decided to place in this game.
One of the gripes specifically was involving the Chairman's Office in the West Wing.
If you go to the back of the room and you were to look up at the ceiling your first time in there you wouldn't think of anything. There's no indication that an attic is in the ceiling. there's no door casing showing that there is a door that comes down absolutely nothing. It just looks like a plain white ceiling tile. But when you play as Leon and escape from the attic and you look up at the same spot, you clearly see that there is now an indication that a door was supposed to be there door casing and all like it magically appeared.

- Processing room has issues with the infected arms clipping through the guardrails before being dropped in the blood pool. a physics check for the arms need to be implemented to answer why it was bent up in the first place (to show the brutality of these poor unfortunate souls) lol. Also, the processing grinders would have also viciously shredded bodies faster with how the teeth were designed along with them being metal vs flesh.

- Some liquid effects were encountered as janky throughout the playthroughs.
**Exiting the Collection & Testing area after once you reach courtyards should've had a red mist in the air from all the rushing blood cascading everywhere when it was being destroyed.
**Raccoon City when you go to the gas station to fill up the fuel tank. When you switch the lever, the fuel just blows and pisses out like it's filled with air. it makes you think you didn't really get a lot of fuel. Then you also realize that you use that tank to fill 3 generators.
That said, going to a 28-year-old gas station doesn't make any sense. The fuel would have degraded and become more or less unusable. It would have made more sense to go to the BSAA camps to retrieve fuel. To refuel each one of the generators due to the camps being more recent.

- The ladder on the box truck to access the parking garage that is somehow bolted into the side of the box truck and floating bolted in the air at the bottom.

- The puzzle to collect batteries when they're actually fuses? A 28-year dead city still being provided power? why are games dumbing things down lol

- The motorcycle sequence scene to where you are Chasing Victor Gideon on the highway completely kills me on how absolute trash it is lol. The pace of speed that you're going feels like you're on a moped. You're not going fast at all especially when you are jumping off some buildings. The acceleration speed is so abysmal that it feels that you are going 30-40 MPH to all of a sudden being able to clear a ridiculously massive gap like it was another day in the office.[/spolier]
Don't get me wrong the scene was cool, but it would make more sense if they had more of an incremental speed up going up the building to make it appear that you are actually going to be jumping over would make it seem more cinematic.

When I did this my first playthrough I laughed on how dumb this was.

- Don't get me started on the roofing materials When Leon goes on them to chase after Victor and fighting off the Garmr.

- You only basically travel a city block of Racoon City (not counting the highway spiel because it has no actual exploration.)

- Lastly. The game is actually pretty short. it's a problem when you have an achievement that wants you to speedrun the game in 4 hours but then can turn around and speedrun a game in 2:35:45 or less on casual. this specific achievement should have been to where it's difficult to attain but able to be attained with effort.

- OMGWTF only green herbs!? What happened to the red, yellow, and blue ones lol.

- The Final boss is crap, hardly to even consider as a final boss, more like a Ramon Salazar boss from re4(original, not remake) before you play more to finally get to the real boss.

My Conclusion:
  • If you honestly love the franchise, get the game.
  • If you at least played the remakes of 1-4 prior to actually appreciate the game more
wholeheartedly. That said, I don't recommend for new players until you play the others prior.
  • I don't recommend getting this game as a $70-80 price tag either due to the true length of this game. Absolutely more content is needed and/or they also need to fix the gripes(some) I've had to change my mind about getting it at the price tag.

Early Access Review
played since the epic launch.

Pro:
+This game is fun recommended to those who are into sandbox exploration.

+This game is fun single player or Multiplayer (multiplayer can be fun because you can gauge someones problem solving skills in action [and yourself.])
*I really recommend playing this with friends (especially late game) due to the possibilities of end game content you can create

CONS:
-multiplayer NET Code is Dysfunctional (It's a work in progress, take this with a grain of salt.)
-If your experienced, please have your friend host so they don't have to deal with the bugs (due to them being new otherwise they may become a detractor of the game.)

-Invulnerability bug on some Multiplayer games (Thinking likely due to epic games and steam linkage (my guess) if you un-link epic it causes a ghost to be in the game thus causing to have any player to connect to not take any damage from anything, yes you can still kill yourself via respawning. If you were to fall off the map (via launching out of the boundary or finding the edge and falling out) this resets and fix the issue.

====================================
This may be updated upon future releases.

Anyways, get the damn game, stop ♥♥♥♥♥-footing around and enjoy a relaxing chill game with your buddies.

***NOTE: this review may be subject to change due to playthrough not finished.***

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is agreat game. It's more close to the original tomb raiders (if you play it at the hardest diffulty dont be a noob and play any other. Its punishing like the first tomb raider in that aspect.}story is generally much better then the second release, only problems i really have about this game is that some of the tombs/crypts have some insane fps dropping issue even with changing from highest quality to lowest, and the swimming mechanic is garbage/unrealistic and needs to get corrected, came across some graphical glitches as well with climbing, and lastly this game has random crashing, do not play this game as a fullscreen title because if you tab out your game will shutdown. recommend playing windowed or fullscreen window. overall despite those flaws (which i am to assume they will get eventually fixed) it's not a bad release if those issues were looked at and corrected for the better the game would be a far better game then what it is at prerelease so far

tldr: good game/story needs some fixes will be better once fixed

pros: great graphics, gameplay, story thus far

cons:fps stuttering, random crashing, some repositioning issues need fixing when climbing (few encounters thus far)

Back in the day when I got one of my first rigs, I got this game as a gift. I was really glad I received it. This game was so superior to any other game in its time with the features this game has. Destructible environments in that day and age were so amazing. If anyone has played the series or has had this game, I recommend doing another playthrough for the story and the nostalgia. you wont regret it.
