The only game that has probably given me more hours entertained than Terraria is probably Minecraft, and that is probably only since Minecraft came out first. This is one of those games you can spend hours playing, and still have plenty to do, because it is a sandbox game, a game with little restraint. Unlike Minecraft, this game tends to be much more challenging with its wide variety of monsters, and overall is a game with a far wider variety, made possible in part by its 2D nature probably making it easier to program new items. This game can satisfy both those who want a game where you can build massive houses and those who wish to face difficult bosses.
