The game in it's current state is simply "ok". Personally, I'm not one of these people who feel spurned by the promises made by Sean Murray. I'm still having fun exploring the different planets and enjoying the scenary. The game does feel a bit empty, despite being so large. The game may in fact have a quintillion planets, but the diversity is a little lacking. I'm still enjoying it either way and give it a very tepid thumbs up.
