I will always love the mess that is Kingmaker far more than Wrath, but it is easily the superior game.

I would firmly recommend Wrath of the Righteous to any fans of the CRPG genre, with far fewer asterisks than was the case with Kingmaker. Quality of life features, a (comparatively) shorter campaign and a vast wealth of options make this game significantly easier to play, though the complexity of Pathfinder is still very much present. The story, while not as strong as Kingmaker, has far more variations due to the whopping 10 mythic paths providing massive replayability, and you as the protagonist do actually feel like a major character, making roleplay very fun.

It can drag at times, and there will be at least one point in a playthrough which might really annoy you, but it is well worth the price tag, especially at the time of writing given it's 65% off. Go forth, Commander! The Fifth Crusade won't lead itself!
