It's a fine auto-battler with some fun mechanics, but there's very little build variety as each tower set only has a couple of different ways in which to combine into useful synergies. The difficulty scale also means that most of your builds will fail very early, but any build that makes it through the first level or 2 will almost certainly make it all the way. Still in early-access so things could certainly improve, but at its current build, it does not feel worth $20.

Crashes frequently

Simple to learn, hard to master. This game brings the racing fundamentals, and track editor of a game like Trackmania, and presents it in a fun, accessible package. I've already put almost 150 hours in the game, making tracks, playing online with others, and making my way through the adventure mode. Well worth the price.

I've had quite a bit of enjoyment out of this game but also a fair amount of frustration. The core loop of minesweeper with RPG mechanics is pretty fun and offers quite a bit of replay-ability. If you're not that good in minesweeper itself, the game has an arena mode in beta where a computer solves the boards for you and you have to make meta decisions like an auto-battler.

Best deckbuilding strategy game of the decade.
