Great premise, but not in the same league as it's Roottrees inspiration.

The game overall was too short for the price point, beatable in under 2 hours. What drew me into purchasing was the 1995 PC aesthetic, but the execution is frustrating. There is no web history in the navigation to be able to jump back to previously entered sites easily; you have to remember each search every time. You can't copy and paste by highlighting and right clicking, although Crtl+C does bypass this. The puzzle games were too safe (think sliding tile puzzles), and the story overall simplistic. The puzzle solutions don't always save so if you need to backtrack, you better have written down your previous answers.

I see promise in this series though, with small quality of life improvements to the UI and an expansion in the storytelling (larger cases with more twists and turns).

Cracking puzzle game, a mix between Hypnospace Outlaw and Return of the Obra Dinn. Non-pressured deduction and reasoning based gameplay.

Although Dream Chamber is visually polished and has a decent atmospheric soundtrack, I cannot reccomend this game as a "point and click" fan due to the clunky gameplay.

It is never obvious what you are clicking on due to the the cursor not reacting to what you hover over. The dialog trees consist of a mini-game which you cannot exit from, even when you know you have got an answer wrong, forcing you to sit through the whole thing (potentially) multiple times. It is also slow moving from location to location due to a scene where you are in the car with your driver everytime you change location. Sometimes you will know how to solve a puzzle, but will not be allowed to until you have had a certain conversation first, which is frustrating.

This game also crashed on me after alt-tabbing out and back in, and due to the lack of autosave I had to replay a good half-hour of the game (which is about half of the overall game length). This is not worth the full asking price, and although the story was intriguing, there doesn't appear to be a sequel to wrap of the narrative of this game.

A fantastic little puzzle game, perfect for a chilled Sunday afternoon. Took about an hour to complete, with the concepts being introducted in a simple to understand way, yet leaving some very complex levels at the end.

Well worth the low price tag

Absoloutely stunning. Crisp visuals, haunting audio, and the best characterisation of any game I've ever played (Indie or otherwise)

Played out a litte too long for my tastes, and didn't really have much "gameplay". However, loved the story development and the ending. Woud be more worthwhile on a touchscren device. No replay value, and if you've come here after loving world of goo, you will be disappointed.
