This is my 5th copy of Rez (after DC, PS2, PS2 with Trance Vibrator, HD on the X360) and I'm enjoying it like the first time!
Playing the first area again feels like coming back home after years away, what an incredible game.

Astoundingly wonderful visuals, ok.
But also mostly boring puzzles, plenty of useless slow walking and one of the worst writing I've ever experienced in my entire life.

Recommended if you're deaf, but only without subtitles.

State of Decay is a fairly fun game, based on a mix of third person action, micromanagement, gathering quests and a great amount of repetitions, both visual (there is just a small textures and buildings core, the rest is a copy of it) and situational (there are like 3 or 4 different types of side quests, popping up a dozen every hour).

All in all, I appreciated the ride for the most part, got bored every now and then doing always the same couple of things over and over again, kinda hated the performance issues (60 to 15 framerate drops during loadings are a tad too annoying while driving) and got absurdly underwhelmed by the ending (likely the worst thing of the entire game, and not because it's bad, but it's just so useless and badly realized that they could just have cut it out and settled for an infinite survival sim).

It's clear Undead Labs were aiming extremely high, and I think it's also clear it was too high for them to actually pull off.

This is a great game.
Improvements over the first Max Payne are thrown all over the place.
Graphics still hold up the years, the gameplay feels perfect, the gunplay is as satisfying as it gets, the pacing is great and the level design is awesome.
Even if you don't like the narration style or the plot (and I find it a bit too intrusive at times), playing Max Payne 2 is a blast in any possible way.

Playing Max Payne a dozen of year after it was originally published wasn't a pleasant experience.

Let's disregard the horrible faces expressions, and let's think about its gameplay only: Max Payne is a trial and error ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

There's a huge amount of situations where enemies just wait for the player behind a door, ready to fire with their grenade launcher, or where enemies get to headshot the player with their shotgun from the other side of the room.
Halfway through, enemies don't get harder by design, but they just get double or triple their HP, so that to kill them you'll need 3 sniper rifle headshot and a couple of M79 shots just to be sure.

I'm aware of the fact that this was just their first attempt, but it is not that funny.
To the point that, if it was my call, there would have never been any sequel... :D

Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe is a perfect mixture of old school gameplay and modern twisted role reversal concepts; it controls beautifully, it's hard but not frustrating, when you pick up block pieces, diamonds and everything else it's very satisfying, and on top of it all, it's great for short bursts.
This is the kind of game I would have trashed every last coin into its coin op in late 80s/early 90s.

For those who don't know what this is about: it's a platform game set in a block-drop puzzle stage.
You have to avoid and destroy falling stuff. If you destroy a block placed near other blocks of the same colors you obtain more stuff. Picking up stuff is needed to level up and become more powerful.
The more you proceed, the more dangerous stuff drops down.
That's it, basically. But in a perfect arcade fashion it could virtually offer endless joy.

This is the kind of game you just can't stop playing. Like, never.

This game is the best videogame in the entire videogame history except maybe Tetris for Game Boy.

No, wait. It's actually better than Tetris for Game Boy too, because it would totally fit in D:OS that at some point I'll talk with a cow and she's all polite, and shouts GREETINGS! to me and then she gifts me a copy of Tetris for Game Boy complete with a Game Link Cable indeed, and then I turn a corner and who's there? But Alexey Pajitnov in the very person, of course! And he asks me for a Tetris game but suddenly he's killed by an explosive sheep who in fact is a KGB undercover agent. Meanwhile me and the other me are still arguing about who's gonna play Tetris against Pajitnov, even though there's no Pajtnov anymore and but so we call it a day, just glad of being able to spell Pajitnov correctly four times in a row.

Visuals are wonderful and controls are awful. 'Nuff said, unfortunately.
