Y'all already know how I feel about Supergiant, they're the greatest. So is this, I hope they make something new for their next game instead of Hades 3.

From the ashes of depravity rises the phoenix of quality. How else to describe The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe? Such a revolutionary step forward in the lineage of one of the most beloved video game properties of all time! the additions and changes made to this expansion will surely resonate in the annals of the history of all media ever made. It is perhaps true to say that no mistakes are forever etched in stone for the stone into which The Stanley Parable was carved has itself been transmuted offering a message of hope to those who have ever erred in their judgement. You are not beyond redemption. You may change, and you may become more so much more than you were before. If there any message to be taken from The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe it is this... What a fortune, a privilege, a joy it is to have had such an experience it leaves me hopeful that as a community - as a world there is time for us to become our greatest selves as great as we ever could dream of in our wildest, most ambitious visions for a brighter future.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is just what the doctor ordered. I've played every mainline Ace Attorney title besides AAI2, and this game almost immediately feels markedly superior to the latter half of the series (Spirit of Justice, Dual Destinies, etc). Story is great (Shu Takumi from the original trilogy came back to write this one), production value seems sky high, HERLOCK SHOLMES, this game seems to be the full package for an Ace Attorney fan, and I feel I've barely even scratched the surface of its story and signature courtroom drama.

The true VR killer app. A game so immersive I tried to kick a box that was in front of me in VR and fell over. 10/10.

My 2020 Game of the Year, easy.

The Supergiant Games name being attached to a title has become something of a badge of honor over these past ten years since the studio opened in 2009. Bastion, Transistor, Pyre; all unique, all wonderful in their own way in my eyes. Hades, however, is different. It stands apart from those three in terms of sheer quality of game design and replayability. So many weapons, so many builds, so many ways the game makes you feel powerful, yet, at the same time, challenged. Of course, that high quality gameplay comes with all of the typical Supergiant trimmings. A killer soundtrack, gorgeous, hand-drawn visuals, unbelievable voice acting, and a gripping story come along with it, making Hades into an utterly sublime package that nearly anyone could jump into and enjoy. Ten years of work and learning from their previous projects have amounted to this. It's something of a magnum opus for the studio, yet I'm still so excited to see what they come up with next.

This game is super fun and shockingly still holds up fabulously, despite being 15 years old. Super goofy and campy dialogue, over the top and tense action, and amazing setpieces sets this one apart from many other games like it. In fact, many of those games have Resident Evil 4 to thank for its successful implementation of over-the-shoulder combat. For those scared away by RE's history as a "horror" series, RE4 isn't "horror" per se, but horror-themed. Overall, an absolute must-play.

It took me way too long to play this one, but I'm so happy that I finally did.
Supergiant Games remains one of my absolute favorite studios in the business in terms of art direction, story, and engaging gameplay. The gameplay specifically is a bit different than their prior outings, taking the form of a strange and addictive mix of soccer and spell-casting.
Though it lacks the voicework of Logan Cunningham permeating every action (he of course features, however), Pyre excels due to its interesting and charming characters bolstered by some killer worldbuilding. Highly recommended, though you may appreciate it more by playing Bastion and Transistor first.
