Like for the soundtrack and art alone.
If the 'one man' dev team is responsible for the worst parts of the game should it really be praised aside from its ambition? Is the game loop purposefully one dimensional as a comment on the monotony of your characters existence working dead end jobs to survive and the only colour is the human interaction with NPCs? Given that the dev is a self professed anarchist maybe but idgaf its mid and you dont feel pushed to consider your choices in dialogue or dice rolls.

Would've been better suited as a rogue-like with harder balancing, but that wouldve taken focus away from the self aggrandising writing covering age old scifi tropes with the poise of a YA novel. Given that the 2nd game seems to be taking more of an FTL approach there's hope yet.

pros: best looking unity game you can play and far better than #3
cons: unity

arguably more lore accurate than 3 and still looks and runs well

used to play on mac with trackpad lovely game

runs like ass and story and dialogue is paper thin but gameplay loop is satisfying and some cool setpieces
