Ah, then I don't recommend purchasing Dark Souls, if you don't got the patience for hard games, ha ha. It's all about the patience that one. Yeah, I think I'm just singling out the "I don't understand why this game is hyped" line. I completely understand why someone couldn't like Deus Ex. The writing is weird, takes a while to get anywhere, especially considering the first missions are kinda retarded unless you've tried hundreds of times. Easy to get lost in the later missions as well. I think I spent a few hours on one mission completely uncertain as to what to do.

HR's a great game, I love it. It's just I always love when you can pump points into things and really flesh out characters making specific builds in RPGs.

I do like the idea of the decisions made though, for the final bit. Just want a bit more from it than pressing a button and a cutscene of button's effects. But yeah, I just needed to see where you were coming from, ha ha.

I can see where you are coming from when it came to exploration in HR. I actually do believe that game would have been a lot better if exploration had been implemented better. I think the environments in HR were so awesome to where I would want to explore Detroit and China. I truly think the Chinese city was one of the most awesome cities i've seen in general in any cyber punk setting. I actually thought the RPG elements were still good though because you really had to figure out where to put your skill points at and you couldn't use everything. So there was some strategy to that and it wasn't too frustrating. I also saw the whole peaceful and non peaceful path, but there were times where it felt like you had to do one bad thing to achieve a good thing though in certain side quests (or at least it seemed so).

Yeah the endings should have been achieved through your acts throughout the game I didn't think of that actually. But at least it made sense in the context of the story

I'm actually going to go through it only for the story. I'm going to be a little cheater though and cheat in a game first run for the first time in almost 6 years (friends idea not mine). I really don't have the patience anymore for hard games unless it's an NES game or something of that calibur. But yeah games are really subjective. There aren't going to be fans of everything. I mean I meet people that don't like Half Life 2, but they give good reasons as to why. I mean that's the thing if you can find a reason why you don't like a game that's fine, but you should at least see why others like it and judge it fairly.

(cont.) I'm pretty sure Human Revolution got huge. As far as I can tell, everyone on the internet seems to love it. Not as good as the original, but still great. Wasn't as much exploration you could do in Human Revolution, and the character (RPG-wise) development was poorer. Two options: peaceful mode or non-peaceful? Stealth was easier to manage, though, what with 3rd person mode whilst against a wall, as opposed to pure 1st person.

The most I recommend out of you touching Invisible War is watching a video of it.

Also, JESUS, the last decision shouldn't be press one of these buttons in front of a screen. Actually do something to make those.

Yeah, the acting was really awful in the original Deus Ex, there's no doubt about that one. Ugh, it's especially bad when you head off to China, "Mr. Denton, in the FRESH"? But yeah, the second level isn't too fantastic either. Everyone hated their first attempts at Deus Ex, but after pushing through, it begins to make sense why a lot of people love it. You're just awful at everything you do at lower levels, unless you pump points into things (don't bother with swimming < something you'll read a lot).

Basically, what I'm saying is is that the game starts off bad. Though, I don't know how much you can really say about the story or the game if you've only hit level 2. Just keep going at it, go to level 3 and 4, if you still don't like it, then I don't have anything else to say. It isn't your game, I suppose. There is a reason people love this game, it isn't some sort of mysterious cheat code you gotta put in to insta-like it.

I actually got through the first level months ago and I decided to continue the game. The second level felt just as dull as the first one. It was also so frustrating that I didn't have the patience to go through it (even on easy). Idk I just felt HR had way better character development than the original as well. Not to mention the acting was part of the problem as well. I mean look at Max Payne 1, that game was as low budget as it was going to get, and somehow Remedy managed to pull together really good actors to pull off the roles that were scripted, and that was only 1 year after Deus Ex. It's just a shame no one really caught on to HR as much as they should have. I wouldn't mind seeing another Deus Ex game in the future. And I still am curious to see how Invisible War plays, but I already know it's not going to be good from what I hear.

Heh yeah definitely

Story's a bit hard to follow, yeah. Other than that it's easily something that I recommend everyone on earth to play. If anyone dislikes this game, they are a bad person.

Oh man the soundtrack is brilliant and it fits with the overall tone with the game and narration. The only thing I really haven't gotten so far is the story. I really don't know wtf is going on really but the gameplay, environments, art style (not graphics), and tone really make up for it.

What'd I tell you about Bastion, man? It's probably one of my favorite games ever. Everything hits a perfect note. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that it is short. I still listen to the soundtrack every once in a while.

Hey. If we're still up to doing the super team in Champions on Tuesday, I won't be able to play until sometime after 4pm. We've been getting power outages here so they're turning off the power from 8am to 4pm tomorrow.
