Installing the Rockstar launcher is now needed to play this game, and the insane amount of problems I've always had to even play this game is laughable. The people behind this are complete dunces who seemingly try to make the gaming experience a total mindf!ck. Want to play the game after this year's update? Nope, gotta install Rockstar's bloatware launcher. Wanted to play the game before this year's update? Had to work with Games for Windows, the Rockstar Social Club and compatibility issues. I don't want to install more bloatware on my PC, a game bought on Steam should be playable from the get-go without creating bullsh!t accounts on multiple other launching platforms.

The latest update merged my copy of GTA IV and the Episodes of Liberty City in a single game called The Complete Edition to palliate the end of Games for Windows, apparently. Another dumb decision. When did I ever ask for that?
I just wanted to play the game again, no questions asked. Apparently, simplicity is too much to ask.

Don't buy this game, play it elsewhere and save yourself a headache.
In itself it's rather good, good atmosphere and scenario, shame they always make it so difficult to play it.
