The game is great up to a point - I'm now not even sure why they bothered with telling the story of Monkey Island. I loved the game until the ending, which is really depressing. They did the same BS as in the second game as far as I'm concerned. Monkey Island 3 ftw.

Perhaps, besides the ending, the most disappointing thing is the lack of sword fights :(

I loved the first game, played it on PS4 and completed it.

Nioh 2 is on a whole other level. I'm in love after only 2 hours, you can feel and breathe the improvements the devs made to this game. Simply out of this world, give this dev money to make a third game, I cannot even imagine what they will come up with.

Playing it in 2021 at a more mature age makes you think what they were smoking when they wrote the story and how to best represent it in pixels. The orchestrated soundtrack is definitely amazing.

Not quite the card game you're looking for?

Inscryption is an incredible card game at first, it might remind players of other classics like Slay the Spire. After a few rounds, you may start to understand that there are some abilities which are quite OP and will end encounters in a couple of moves - what gives?

It's by game design! You'll progress through several parts of the game all while playing cards, but the rules and visuals will keep changing, significantly altering the way you play and interact with the game world. Inscryption encourages lateral thinking, and figuring out the puzzles gives off great satisfaction.

This game may not be for all card game fans because of how the game morphs over time, but it is certainly recommended for those that enjoy puzzles and card games.

Many already noted it, this is a departure from the original series. I've played the other entries on PS4, and this was my first title to play on PC (JP Audio / EN subs).

The combat is fun and refreshing, there is no need to panic when performing acrobatic moves on your controller to make a decent combo (although Yakuza games are very intuitive and not complex), nor there is a need to remember certain button combinations. In this game you can relax, pick your move and enjoy the show.

What I do miss in combat though is the brutal hits and mini-scenes with the many objects that litter the town, sometimes Ichiban does make use of them and it feels great, but it's not the same thing. I miss that "roughness" in Yakuza.

The story is amazing, this one in particular made me feel close to the protagonist compared to the adventures with Kiryu. The game does start very slow with very heavy story cutscenes, and only opens up quite a few chapters up, but they are worth it. My advice is to make time, and enjoy the story; make a tea beforehand and enjoy the show.

Sometimes the dialogs can be a bit too long, and especially in this game I found myself wondering about other things, this is where your tea/drink comes in handy - take a sip or two.

The music is alright - there are some bright moments where the music really is above par (Chinatown I'm looking at you), but the rest is okay, nothing spectacular. Having said that, the karaoke songs are always great. The JP voice actors are fantastic as always <3 , I'd be curious to hear the English dub - but I don't think I will.

Overall it's a very enjoyable game, the graphics are nice (I'm not picky), and if you are a long time Yakuza fan, there is plenty to play, watch and do. This game is clearly setting up the story for a sequel, with kick-ass characters to boot, this is not to say that it's one of those cliffhanger endings, on the contrary - I found it highly satisfying.

Looking forward to the next entry!

15 Euros for costumes with no effect in the game is not worth at all - these are just cosmetic and to be completely honest I'm not even using them (I have the legendary edition and was included). @Sega and @Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio - review these prices...

Very poor naming of this DLC, the songs are not part of the Karaoke Mini-Game. Save your Euros, you can't even listen to the songs outside of a bar. Not recommended.

A great experience, with a puzzling end sequence.

I've enjoyed 2/3 of Observation, the initial mystery, the interface, the simple puzzles. What really helped is the amount of detail level and effort that was put in the environment. If you watched any videos of the ISS, you can really see and appreciate the level of detail brought forward by studio.

A couple of links leading to ISS station tours (they are fantastic!):

What I've not really liked was the last part of the game, the last bits are just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (without going into details), and derail from the "reality" and detail the game is surrounded in. If the ending and some parts were a bit more grounded in plausible circumstances, the story might have been better. Personally, I'd rather have the ending explained by the storyteller.

Despite the drawback, it's a great experience, please do give it a try!

The game is fantastic, it has improved so much throughout the kickstarter period. The music and sound effects are fantastic, play with headphones on!

If you liked Hyperlight Drifter, and random dungeon generation, and Zelda puzzle solving, give it a try!

I'm a kickstarter backer, and played the betaonly when major updates came about. The developer made significant efforts, and kept bringing update after update, and making various posts informing backers of his progress constantly. It's a great kickstarter, and an example of how it should be done.

The Arisen:

a man or woman of undoubted might, a champion of honesty and bravery...

up until...

His/her companions all jump in the city's fountain and start stealing all the coins the peasants throw in.

The end.

Will new game+ 10/10
