Back I didn't have internet at home, so for most of the singleplayer games in my account it didnt register any achievements or any playtime. I have like 1k+ hours on skyrim but it only shows like 5 hours and no achievements.

Yea, GOG is great but two things.
#1 Steam has more games I like
#2 Steam has better prices (includes bundle sites)
#3 Steam has CSGO

I think the achievements were removed because it was never really for anything. Just a gimmick.
