Literally a "turn into a ball" simulator over and over again. I didn't even finish the story, couldn't care less about it. Storywriting was chaotic, it has so little to do with Destiny or what we were familiar with, so it was hard to follow for me.

The ball mechanic is ass. Power reset is ass move, if you want to do such a drastic gear overhaul, just slap a label destiny 3 on it, work on it for a year or two more, improve graphics and many things, make excellent campaign and release it, and people will love it...

If only Bungie did this instead of soulless DLCs into a now, sadly, dead game.

Okay-ish, not for that pricepoint though.

Destiny has such a rich story and world and they just slap star wars on it and it doesn't even feel like Destiny anymore, which is sad. I mean the new lightsaber is fun, the new villain is well voiced, the cinematics (although there were so few) are peak, as always... But it could've been just a season. Every story mission you load into one of the three arena maps and do almost the same again and again. It feels like season activity, not a 40€ DLC.

Let's see what the new dungeon brings us and the rest of the DLC post-campaign.

Also, the portal is worse and worse with every update, get rid of that mobile menu ffs, destiny doesnt deserve such little effort in UI.

The game was everything I (mostly) wanted from an MMO.

Is it Korean, but not TOO korean (massive p2w, too anime and cartoonish, autoplay etc.) like for ex. Lost Ark.

I was having a BLAST first few months after release. Combat felt good, the PVP and guild aspects were well thought of (aside from alliances), grind was on spot, the only thing I was missing were practically just mounts (I dont really like the morph mechanic).

I was a member of one of the TOP hardcore PVP guilds in Europe, everything felt sooo goood, the drama, massive 300v300 fights on field bosses, sieges, it was really enjoyable experience. I never thought that PVP focused MMO would hook me so much. Beside lack of PvE content, I was fine with this apporach of an MMORPG.

That was until early January, that's where I stopped playing for a while.

Recently I came back, and oh boy, I can see why the playercount dropped so massively. Bad, bad decisions.

Developers started to listen to reddit crybabys, that already stopped playing MONTHS ago and will never come back to this game. And they only then started developing the things to "fix the game" for them. Don't get me wrong the game needs fixing, but it was pretty fine and enjoayble even for HC players.

It all started even before December, when people were arguing about field bosses being held in dungeons and guild with a player with top kills having and ability to turn on PvP in dungeons. That way, top guilds gatekeeped bosses. The developers chose the worst way possible to fix it - add portal outside the dungeon, so even if they use the ability (they can use once in a 12h), it was useless because they could get in from outside. Completely killing rewarding feeling of that ability and practically made it 50% more useless (aside from buffs you get). It could've been done better, not that lazy.

With that fixed, massive guilds started fighting for PvP field bosses. Imagine massive 300v300 fights where two alliances fight against each other, letting space for another massive alliance to join the fight and mess things up. Hardcore people enjoyed this experience, because they played 12h/day just to get better than usual players so they can use it in those fights, and get even more rewards. The game this way felt pretty rewarding for hardcore no-life players. As it should.

They, again, listened to casual community that didn't even want to attend those PvP bosses, so they re-worked it. No more big PvP, only 48-70vs48-70 guild fights through the portal, where you get matched to a random guild from random server and never see them again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No motivation, no drama, no rewarding feeling, no competition, no sense of grinding and be better on your server because noone will ever get to know/recognize your guild cuz being top guild means nothing now. The sense of alliances completey scrapped, alliances are useless beside from siege now. Completely wrong apporach.

Recent change - make guild bosses only twice a day.????? Nobody is playing it so making it only twice a day? another lazy "fix"? what about reading player feedback, a survey or something to see whats wrong, why nobody plays it? So in a PVP focused game you are slowly getting rid of all PVP? What's next? turning PvP in all modes off completely because people that dont even play this game anymore cried?

You lost your casual community, and thats fine, its hard to please 350k concurrent players with an MMO, it isnt for everyone, but you now lost your hardcore PvP community, which was the core of your game and this game is doomed to fail if you continue this way.

What could've been done:
Get rid of alliances, 280 people is way too much for semi-hardcore or casual guilds to also get some sweet loot and attend all activities.
Rework siege so it doesn't require 4 guilds (an alliance) to defend, but still is defendable with one guild (70 ppl) - smaller corridors, more "help" from the game, maybe golems on defender sides? idk, you are developers, you have massive teams of game designers that can design monetization mechanics that are CRAAAZY, why not game design?
Don't listen to casuals that already stopped playing.

Btw. those people that cried over PvP massive guild field bosses are now still attending peace boss portals, if they even still play. They don't go to dominion or GvG portal, because those are empty:) Nice work.

I really loved this game, and I still do, but developers are heading the wrong way, AGS ruined it, NCSoft followed. This game could be huge, instead it died because of greedy developers trying to please everyone at the same time, and in the end pleasing noone and making them all leave, yet again.

TL;DR - Game is worth trying, if it even lives and matchmakes you to dungs etc. by the time you are reading and getting ready to play it - but developers don't care about your opinion, only about your money. From a very good PvP MMORPG for hardcore and semi-hardcore PvP players it is now bland, empty and boring PvE experience that prepares you for PvP that doesn't even exist anymore in this game.
