Its peak

It's good so far, devs have patched out major bugs day 1. I haven't run into any major issues so far and have played about 5 hours. I would say to try the demo first but the devs took the demo down for some reason. My only (small) issues so far are:
1. The battle UI is cluttered and important elements like weakness/resistance symbols and SP are tiny circles that are hard to notice. This hurts the flow of battle and makes the game harder to learn than it should be.
2. They removed some customizable controls from the demo for some reason. Why take away accessibility options?
3. Anispace controls don't make sense and make a lot of players think they're stuck there - you have to hold left trigger to bring up the menu to exit Anispace. Start and other buttons do nothing. The game doesn't tell you what button to press unless you stand still for a minute while googling how to leave. Just let start bring up the menu like literally any other game would.

Great paper mario style game. The difficulty feels well-tuned, the music is great, and it's a lot of fun. I hope we get some kind of DLC chapters or sequel in the future

The art and gameplay are good but the writing and hand holding ruin it.
The MC wants to be a zagreus copy but he's more like a badly written copy of deadpool.
The devs want to explain every single mechanic to you, as if you're too stupid to figure out that the big glowing enemies might be special. Anyone playing this has probably played hades or vampire survivors before, neither of which needed an extensive tutorial because the gameplay is pretty self explanatory.
The ability descriptions are way too specific and wordy. You can see examples in the pics at the top of the game listing. Don't make me pick between 3 yugioh card descriptions each time i level up. Look at hades or VS for examples.

The demo convinced me. This game is great. I never got into old RE games or any mystery dungeon games, so I wasn't sure if I would like it, but i bought it instantly after beating the demo.
My only complaint is the dpad-only controls, but I just changed controller settings through Steam to treat the joystick as a dpad.

I like the difficulty

Game feels and looks pretty unique. The combat system is simple to understand but you can quickly and easily build some cool combos. Really fun combo of roguelike and monster battler. Dev is also great, friendly, and quick to fix any issues I had.
