Guild Wars 2 – Still the Best MMO Out There

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for over 10 years (+ 1300h played), on and off, and I always come back for the same reason: it’s the most welcoming MMO on the market.

Horizontal progression means your characters and gear don’t become useless every time a new expansion drops. You can take a break, return months (or years) later, and jump right back in without feeling left behind.

No subscription is another big win. The base game is free and offers hundreds of hours of content. Expansions are one-time purchases, so you only pay for what you want, when you want. No pressure, no pay-to-win.

Gameplay is fun and fast, with classes that are easy to pick up but take practice to truly master. Whether you prefer PvE, PvP, or massive WvW battles, there’s always something to do.

Guild Wars 2 doesn’t force you to grind or chase the latest gear treadmill. Instead, it gives you freedom, variety, and a world that keeps evolving. That’s why, after all these years, it’s still my favourite MMO.

Even though I haven't finished the game yet, I already feel compelled to say this: it's been many years since I've felt so much joy playing a game. Every moment feels like a piece of art in motion, crafted with incredible care and passion. This is a true masterpiece, and I can't wait to experience the rest of it.

A more complete review will come once I finish it — but for now, I can say without hesitation: this game is something truly special.

It's important to start by acknowledging that this game is currently in Early Access. With that in mind, I'm amazed at how some players are able to leave negative reviews for a game of this quality. The level of detail and gameplay already available shows great promise, and it's clear that the developers are committed to refining the experience over time.

Mainly regarding the negative reviews about optimization, I can't understand how people expect to find a fully optimized game at this stage of development. It's one thing to critique gameplay or functionality, but even considering the current phase, everything will undoubtedly change. In fact, the game was released earlier than planned exactly because the player base requested it.

For those who enjoy extraction shooters with a higher-than-average difficulty and an apocalyptic setting, this will definitely be the game for you. I'm really excited to see the final product.

Don't get fooled by the mixed reviews, this is a good game with a imense potential. It still have a lot of room for improvement but i feel that Airship Syndicate will deliver everything they promised. :)

In the distant year of 1998, I was fortunate to discover this game and had the opportunity to experience this work of art.

After 22 years, I decided to buy it again, which in itself demonstrates my opinion about this game.

Graphically, it is quite outdated; however, everything is compensated by the great imagination in the story and all its characters. Therefore, I believe Sanitarium should be appreciated for its narrative rather than its graphical quality. For everyone encountering this game for the first time, I ask you to keep this in mind.

In terms of gameplay, it is perfectly acceptable for a 22-year-old Point & Click game.

The music and sound effects are another strong point of this game, both helping to enhance the immersion and mystery of the story.

Overall, I find the puzzles not very difficult, and it is perfectly possible to complete the game without resorting to guides.

It was a great pleasure to revisit Jack's story.

I have to confess that I liked the first game more, however, the fact that it is possible to play with two players has greatly improved the game experience.

I highly recommend playing with your better half :) You will not regret it, I'm sure you that you will have good laugh together and challenge each other to beat the goals of each level.

Wonderful story to backup the great gameplay, it can be a little tough on inexperienced players but still i don't think it's hard.

I want to emphasize again the quality of the story and excellent development of all the characters that are part of our team. Everyone has their history and we as players can follow their choices. Most missions have different social / moral dilemmas with implications in the development of the story and characters.

I couldn't ask for more!

What a wonderfull game! You will have plenty of lore to catch up to understand everything that it's going on but trust me, it's more that worth the time. Great story, good fight and skills mechanics. Nice interaction with all your companions.. i can't find any downside in Tyranny ((ofc you need to like this kind of RPG).

If you played any Baldurs Gate this is a must have.
