Really made out of some nightmare fuel in the first half; will have you on your toes and at the edge of your seat praying what you heard was just in your head.

Only real complaint about the game is after about 2 hours of playing, it slowly stops being a dinosaur horror game and turns into a problem solving game that can feel repetitive until the very end of the game.

Overall, awesome graphics, cool dinosaur designs, and a great atmosphere to feel like dinosaur prey. While the writing isn't the best and feels very copied off Jurassic Park, it's a great game to set aside 2-3 hours at night and have a little scary fun time.

I've played both Subnautica games for a long time

The first Subnautica is easily better, if this is your first time playing Subnautica, please get the first one. If you have played the first one before, then please keep in mind that this game does not have as big of a story as the first one and the vehicles may feel disappointing compared to the original Subnautica. There are new mechanics and buildings as well as creatures, but overall the game feels more like a DLC rather than an actual sequal.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this a good game. I'm aware that VR hasn't been the best on this game, especially from previous experiences I've had, but regardless, this game is great on PC.

The good:
Updates come rarely, but when they do, they come ten-fold. Multiple levels and entities are added. The lore in this game is very easy to keep up with and the levels are fun and original. Maybe the best part about this backrooms game is that there is a boss fight. The entities are really special and some have hidden quirks and abilities. The graphics are excellent and the sound only adds to the feeling of solitary and infinity. I highly recommend playing with friends for the first time.

The bad:
Some levels, especially the electrical level is hard. These levels can take a lot of time, which is good for gamers, but not so good for the average consumer. Losing all your progress in a level after you spent so long trying to figure out how to pass it is tough. It's also worth mentioning that there is still no actual ending to the game, which means future updates are to come, but also means that every time you beat the game, you have to do all the levels again if you want to explore the new levels.

I've spent countless hours building and exploring in this game and I still want to come back to it each time. The VR experience is also great, though it works a bit weirdly.

The good:
There's a great story line that is quite simple to follow. The game is a survival and exploration game with the best kind of horror I've seen. No one quite understands thalassophobia until they're in the middle of the ocean in a dark void of water. The game has awesome vehicles and creatures that roam the map. Probably the best part about Subnautica is that the mods are easy to install and add so much more. The game itself is still incredible without mods.

The bad:
Updates have ceased for Subnautica except for hotfixes and the graphics are amazing unless you're on a mediocre computer that needs to bring the graphics down a bit. Probably the worst part of Subnautica is the single-player only experience. There are mods to allow multiplayer, but they can lag the game and don't look the best. They also have a lot of bugs and can be difficult to set up.

It's a lot of fun. Fly over famous buildings or your own home and experience the flight of your life with graphics better than a photo.

So amazing. I love being in a spaceship and visiting other planets. Getting out of the atmosphere for the first time is so satasfying.
