Yakuza 0 was my first entry into the Yakuza series, and it completely pulled me in with its engaging, immersive story and satisfying gameplay.

The characters, world, and side content make Kamurocho feel alive in a way few games manage. While I held back from giving the legacy version a 9/10 due to frustrating save and inventory issues, those problems have now been fixed.

With the Directors Cut adding English dub and quality-of-life improvements, I can confidently recommend this version to anyone interested in the series—or story-driven games in general.

In an age where so many games feel like recycled sequels—endless shooters, sports titles, or formulaic action-adventures—Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a breath of fresh air. It dares to be different, delivering a QTE-driven RPG with a rich, emotionally charged story and a unique artistic identity. The world is imaginative, the pacing keeps you hooked, and every encounter feels purposeful rather than padded. Should’ve got it / bought it earlier. 😅

If you’re craving something bold, narrative-focused, and beautifully crafted, this one stands out in the best way.
