This game lets me kill time in a fun and manageable way without being predatory or evil. So long as no evil overtakes it, and so long as we stand united, I will stand behind the value of this purchase as one that serves the heart of Democracy in us all.

Today, we carved another foothold on the long climb to Liberty.
Tomorrow, our arms will open to all the would-be Helldivers of the worlds of Super Earth.

If you don't try to ride the minecart down, you're not playing right.
As a shooter it's kinda brutal and pretty good.
I'm having a ton of fun.

I'm over one thousand hours in, and I can easily see me playing this for a thousand hours more.
My advice:
Play your first few colonies without mods, but take a peek at dev-mode if you want to set up anything really specific.
Play with mods from like your third or fourth colony on..
The game as it stands is kind of a masterpiece, but where it really shines is providing a canvass for the absolutely stunning array of absolutely wonderful mod content.
