I got one of the keys PC Gamer was offering for early access.

The gameplay isn't that bad. None of the abilities seem to throw things out of whack, and the game rewards skill just as Quake always has.

However, bad hitreg, lag, poor matchmaking (5 - 50 frag games aren't fun), a terrible menu UI, and slow matchmaking times have overshadowed the gameplay heavily.

As far as microtransactions, I don't mind cosmetics but having to grind so much to be able to even play all the characters isn't something I want to do with the rest of the game in this state.

This game is a fun tower defense type game, the upgrade system is nice, and the coop is entertaining :D Definitely worth a buy if you're considering it.
