It's peak.... Kris Deltarune...

It's a neat little management game where you choose who to sell your weapons to, and what kinds of stats they have. But it just feels tedious and grindy—the gameplay loop will remain mostly the same even as complexity is added and the loop itself doesn't have enough substance for me. There's not enough polish or attention to small detail, either.

Maybe if it were more involved, it would land better, but as it stands it feels like I'm doing a lot of "things" but doing nothing at the same time.

If it's on sale, go ahead and pick it up. Otherwise, go shop for another weapon, or just play some Jacksmith.

Good story. Good characters. Good battles. Games rarely seem to specialize in all three.
Play it. Expect great wacky humor and a dark story that makes you think.
