this game has an absolutely demented hate campaign following it for some reason and i have no idea why - Marathon is a brilliant, unique, and gorgeous extraction shooter that deserves to stand tall next to Arc Raiders. after the release of the endgame map, i have full faith in the vision for where bungie wants to take this game, and i'm excited for what they cook up next.

marty im sure the mandatory ray tracing was very good for your development pipeline and all but if you want me to enjoy it as much as you did you're gonna need to spend a little of that bethesda money on a new GPU for me because i am not playing a doom game at 50fps

i know everyones losing their minds over losing their precious goonerslop but im gonna sidestep it into the Woke Option and say:
i liked being a fat little creature in a video game!! i felt Seen for once!! represented, even!!!!
so its frankly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that the dev felt as if that was some shameful thing that needed to be culled out to cater to normies or whatever. its insulting! almost everyone i know who ive played this with has done it bc they felt they had a character that could actually represent them, and this is like spitting in the face of that pretty hard!

tl;dr: sucks!! bring back the tummy!!

its legitimately unreal that a game this far into release thats this mechanically simple can still be this obscenely buggy. i've never managed to assemble a party of friends for a match of this without some sort of ordeal in all 50 hours ive played it. i just had a game we were 45 minutes into suddenly come to an end because a friends screen just inexplicably turned a solid purple, and then he couldnt reconnect after restarting his client. the cherry on top is that they charge an arm and a leg for this game and all of its expansions, and its still this buggy YEARS after its official release.

this games a bop but crytek hamstringing the budget of whats clearly their most promising up and coming title is awful depressing

i would rather spend my time licking my windows clean than play this game

while this review will be mostly subjective, ill get the objective out of the way first
its very lacking in choice, which is what the base game thrived on, and in addition, the fact that this game centers around the villain's crew yet lacks any option for the main character to become evil is quite disappointing. in addition, the transformations were quite sparse, only havng i think three throughout the story, all of which were nonoptional and mandatory

SUBJECTIVELY,
i was going to forgive it it all if the cute sadist lamb got fat. and then you monkey's paw'd me (do you GET THE JOKE) and took away her sadism bit when you made her fat. and also i didnt like mila tf'ing into a monkey. and while muscle isnt necessarily my thing, there still was no attempt to appeal to that crowd even remotely. at least there was a lot of lesbianism.
