My main issue with this game is that there's no clear instructions how to play the game so there's quite a learning curve. But it's also quite simple enough to figure it out. Especially since some of the cards aren't exactly clear on what they're used for.

Some tips that I wish I knew earlier on:
* The obvious one: Keep your workers fed
* HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THE CLICK FARM RECIPE (It auto-clicks stuff for you, not farming-related at all)
* To use the Magnet card: Inductor (bottom-most) > Unlimited (optional) > Item > Magnet. Move Magnet card to desired location, click to set the Magnet's direction. You can also put it on a Chest for auto-storing (max is 50).
* Waiter Station does NOT get the food, but you can drop the food there for rearranging.
* This will make the game too easy: When you put stuff in a Chest, you can NOT bring stuff out when the game is paused. You can move stacks and such though. Though, you *can* put a Chest on the utility cards (ie Store/Fruit Stall/etc---the dark green ones).

Happy cooking!

Freedom Wars was a great game on the Vita and I enjoyed playing it with friends in the back of of a cafe to get our sentences lower (I'm less than 20k on my Vita---just checked).

Do note that, like the other Entitlements, you have to earn your right to hear the original Japanese voice acting (excludes Accessory and Percy voices, unfortunately). Coming back to play the game, I (and some of my friends watching for nostalgia) found this very amusing when one unrelated friend brought it up. On the Liberty menu, it'll be the "Request Auditory Refit" option, found under "Request Nominative Reassignment."

I am also very amused there's a "Deadly Sinner" mode, which takes away even MORE freedom. I haven't tried it yet though... So I can't make any real comparison at this time.

Side note, I do miss having the global-scale of Panopticons than having it only based on Japanese prefectures.

Do understand that this is a "remaster" and not a "remake." This means it's simply a port. I do wish that there was an option to switch the Accessory's/Percy's voice to Japanese audio, but it makes sense since the TTS for English is different.

I am having some issues with playing on controller, since I use PS controller and not Xbox. I always have difficulty translating this, so I changed the controls to be similar to how it is on the Vita which helped me a bit.

This game is somehow very reminiscent of the classic Atelier games---and by classic, I mean the ones that were for PS/PS2 (Atelier Marie~Atelier Iris). However, it's very simplistic in comparison, so it could be considered a good introduction to the genre. There is a story (and optional side stories) that you can do at any time, material gathering mini game (NOTE: it is *not* countdown timer, so don't need to rush it), and the alchemy system. The characters are very amusing and, as you get to know them, become more endearing... Despite their... odd names.

The game is about resource management and gets a bit of hands-on understanding, but it's fairly forgiving to the point that I could consider this a cozy game.

For a game, it's pretty fun. However, it seems only part of a bigger project. Especially since the blacksmith charges repairs for free---useful but seems like something should have happened for him to start charging (but never does when you become a 'master'). Would love to see what the game would have been if complete but, unfortunately, that's it. There isn't much for post-game either besides the side quests you skipped over, trying to catch Rank IV Beasties (honestly, I thought Rank III was the highest until I was wandering the Green Meadow), or completing the beastepedia.

TIP: Grey stones make for physical attacks. Weave your combos to pick those up to deal damage outside of the skills.

Useful for anyone unfamiliar with MikuMikuDance but, in comparison, it is a lot less fulfilling. The program's design is simplistic enough to understand in comparison to MMD but there's a lot of limitations to it because of this (ie max limit of 4 models, lack of textures). So I recommend it if you want a cute experience (ie just make your characters dance), but not if you want to produce an actual video (ie gesture/facial adjustments, lipsync, etc).

If you just want to see your model dance or make facial expressions, there's free alternatives such as 3tene available.

Cute and simple, though the $10 pricetag is sort of pushing it for the amount of gametime put in. Story is pretty straightforward with some typos here and there, but it isn't really that distracting. Certainly recommended for those that like JRPG-esque storylines.

The combat system is fun and unique, albeit difficult at times when there isn't the tiles you need or you accidentally mess up on a move you didn't mean to make. One issue I did have was that you can't hasten or skip the battle-end reward animation. It was especially slow when you reach the Lv80 level-cap.

Late-game, it does get pretty easy if you're well-level and/or well-equipped. If you make a good combo, your enemies (including bosses) are easily mowed down. Losing is also fairly forgiving in the game as well, where you just need to go back to the beginning of the zone. In the case of boss battles, it even let's you pick up just a bit before the boss-encounter.

Not quite a spoiler, but a heads up: Although the story is cute, the ending will not leave you chipper-happy. If you're considering getting the game for that particular feel, you have been warned.

In all honesty, I played this not sober. In additional honesty, I found it hilarious to play due to the bad translations. This game's no longer available for sale, but I considered it to a giant amusement to play through. Even patched it out of curiosity sake. Though this game may not be for sale, for those that have it but have been discouraged... Play it for how bad it is. It's hilarious.

My favorite quotes being the following:
1) What a ♥♥♥♥.
2) It seems that he didn't take a ♥♥♥♥ of what I said.
3) You are really a mean and selfish Holy Censor! HA-HA HA!

For the fujoshi/fudanshi out there, there seems to be some sexual tension between them. If you're into that sort of thing:
*) Would you like to finish playing with me together?
*) I had a good time with you. I would like to experience for a second time.
*) ... You are the only existence who can kill me

Would I recommend this to a friend? No, not really. Only if they want to take a shot for every weird grammar structure or odd word choice. It would be worth it then haha

This is a romance, but not a romance one would expect as it can break you into pieces.

WARNING: HEAVY ON THE TRIGGER WARNING ON YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH!! I CANNOT EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH!

The game as a whole was very good for a free game--the art, the music, the message. I hope to see more Angela He games on here (or I'll probs just go to her itch[zephyo.itch.io] ). The game may seem horrible if you're choosing not to be empathetic or if you feel personally attacked because the game does indeed touch on a sensitive topic: Depression/Suicide. I'm not gonna sugarcoat this. It warns you of this when you start the game, in the description, and I have now mentioned it more than once already.

Having been on both ends of the spectrum, this game hit me rather hard. But I stuck it like a champ to get all endings (crying all the rest of the way, though). When I finished in its entirety, though, I did end up crying and thanking all the friends that helped me when I was in a dark place. But enough about me, this is a review about the game!

The first time you play (this can be done in less than 5min), you will have the most impactful first ending if you don't notice the small signs. Almost everything you do causes time to pass, giving a faux 'realtime' feel. I would say... Just play how you want. Because... Who is it that has it? (I'm not gonna say. You play to find out. That's the point.)

The second playthrough, we had a nice long talk... It ended up looping for me a bit, since I was scared to bring out the personal topics (since I wasn't quite sure about just how close MC and May were). But... It was really sweet and, depending on the choices, it helps... a lot. Because that's what 'the talk' is about. People cope with depression in different ways and 'the talk' does help in some way in this case.

All in all, it is a good game. A short game, but very good getting the message across (I got all endings within 30min though it felt like longer at some parts... Past 30min was for me to refresh a bit to write this review). Please be aware that it's short for a reason. The reason for this is most likely not to extend the mood in the case you start to project yourself onto the characters. This is a thing that often happens with long games. So, again, if you're depressed or prone to depression... This game might impact you moreso than you think (that's what happened to me) and I do not recommend it being played if you are sensitive for the above reasons (or if you do play, do not play it alone).

One thing I do dislike about the game... Is that you can't stop yourself from leaving. But... c'est la vie. That's the thing about these sort of games because, honestly, I wouldn't have left when there were those red flags...

Elegy for a Dead World isn't quite a game that involves action or problem solving. It's more of an interactive slideshow that offers writing prompts or, if you decide on freeform, without any prompts. I use it as a break from standard writing to help push through the writer's block I have on a project, as it serves as a great way to delve into different worlds for inspiration or even improve on the imagination.

I have played through this game a few times and it's useful in terms that you can start all over fresh. The price is similar to what you would get if you were to pick a similar book in the bookstore. You know, the ones that state they help you through writers block or help you start a story with writing prompts. That is exactly the purpose of this game.

There are a few downsides, however. There is no Ctrl+Z, so if you accidentally delete a writing prompt you're not going to see if ever again until you start anew. Another downside is the community. It's small and not really active that it would be difficult to get the Steam Achievements. So if you think it's an easy 100%, you're wrong.

Overall, I would recommend this game to other writers as a form of exercise but it's not a hard recommendation given the price. You might find a nice, cheaper book--or maybe a gem--at a secondhand bookstore. Or, of course, wait for it to be on sale.

DOGGO SPRINKLES IS BEST BOY!! FEED HIM LOTS AND DON'T EAT HIS SNACKS! <3

For real though, the game is short and simple. It takes a span of THREE DAYS. You shouldn't expect much out of it when playing. I've played it both sober and otherwise--it was amusing either way. It would be great if there were achievements for the multiple endings, but there aren't currently.

If you're aiming to play this with intent to hit on anyone but the colonel, this game is not for you. I know all the other characters seem very amusing but you CANNOT hit on them, sadly. All I can say is to just enjoy the game for a good laugh. It's free afterall and, considering the quality, it's worth the chuckles. Not recommended for those with no sense of humor :-P
