this game ruined my life

randomly recommended this game to 2 friends, now the whole group playin it

the first 75% of the game is genuinely perfect, the area design, bosses, all of it. then suddenly i'm hit with mediocre boss after mediocre boss and uninteresting annoying areas. i fight the first boss i thought was really poorly designed but managed to beat it anyways. i get thrown into what i assume is basically the final area or right before the final boss and at this point the stupid gimick mini boss is enough to stop playing. it feels like the main dev team moved on and some inexperienced team was tasked to finish the game. it baffles me how it even got to this point, the game just doesn't care anymore.

kept seeing amazing things people were saying about the game online, specifically stuff like "don't look up anything about the game just play it" so i tried and first game was just not good but it's "suppose to suck" because it's their "first game" so i moved onto the next game and it wasn't my thing, and then the third was really boring. i dont feel like playing the other games after that

this game sucks

got softlocked at the end of Taking Liberties game bad

beat the game and realized i was basically playing FEZ 2

got all achievements, super hooper god

i love metroidvanias and i wish i could like this game but it has such a ♥♥♥♥ and linear map that you get stuck far more often than any other games in the same genre. even getting map upgrades don't help due to the fact that icons can just overlap (there's a key door in the room but it shows up as an item). this game seriously gives me a headache

love this game, but i wish BD-1 would listen to me when i ask for a stim
