In the days of games like Samson barely hitting my monitor refresh rate (75hz) with my current specs, it feels really refreshing having a game that is barely 6GB, packed with content, that works WELL without spending hours on mods, config and most of all, its fun.

Vostok doesn't do anything new or genre breaking. Its a survival game, not a difficult one, but one that wants you to be concentrated on the game, the AI can be...complicated as they sometimes either have aimbot or they can't hit you standing at 30 cm from your face, but still, one distraction and you can say goodbye to your gear (just like I did barely 5 minutes ago).

The game is still in EA but has a ton of content, I'd change a few things when it comes to weapon placement in your hideout and the UI (Please make the loot inventory in the middle and not the top left, when you have a 27 inch and you're blind from one eye it gets rather troublesome)

But in general its a fun game, and for the price I'm glad I picked it up <3

Right. I think I have a better opinion of the game after 20 hours in 27 hours since the game released.
I'm currently gear score 4,6k so it's not like i left the game on and went afk.

The game is fun, i played a lot of MMO in my life, paid and not (Spent around 11 years on FFXIV) and I am enjoying m ost of the social aspects of it, even the silly dance around the city for the piss poor rewards that it gives.
The dungeon grinding has been really fun, with the first dungeon having a somehow mechanically interesting final boss (Both normal and hard mode) so I am looking forward to the rest of the dungeons that will be released in the next days/weeks.
The two classes that I have unlocked are fun, the world is beautiful and the boss hunting is really enjoyable. You are not forced to a single way of gearing up, which is something I missed.
The game takes a few gearing ideas from the major mmos (Vault from WOW and tomes from XIV for raiding)
Story is alright, but I never focus on MMOs stories.
The gameplay is quite simple and the autobattle can be turned off, so stop crying about something you are not forced to use, so it's the auto navigation.

Of course the game is not free from criticism, the mobile ui, the terrible menu navigation are the biggest sin of the game.
Why can I kick someone from my party by clicking on their name but for me to leave i have to press the I button and then a second button on that menu to leave the party?
NA only servers are also a terrible choice (Pinging 100-115~ms)
The gacha even if its only cosmetic, is really limited to what a F2P user can do (I have spent around 18~ euros right now because I wanted a few clothing options rather than just the free one)


If you want your anime fantasy mmorpg with silly costumes, okay~ish combat, very fun dungeons(so far) and an okay progression please give it a shot, otherwise it'll just be your anime slop that works for a small niche of users.

EDIT: Have the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decency to list that you are using AI for the VHS videos in New Game +. This is a scummy tactic.
