It's a game about digging a hole. Plain and simple. I've 100% the game in about 3 hours, and I had a pretty good time doing it. I can't say much without spoiling the game, but it's well worth your $5. Navigating your hole can get a little frustrating, due to pixel sized dirt pieces getting stuck in the air, causing you to take damage (there's fall damage, oh boy) or getting stuck on them while moving around. That's my only complaint however.

Game is good. If you've got an afternoon to kill, I highly recommend it.

Trombone Champ has you, a potential Trombone Champ, questing through the world of Trombone Champ to become the Trombone Champ. Having nothing but your wits and trombone, you embark on an epic quest of toots and triumph. Will you survive the slides of doom, or will you fall prey to the baboons?

This is about as close as I'll ever get to playing anything Osu-like. You'll use your mouse to slide the bar up and down and match your position with the notes as they slide along the note track that looks somewhat like you're playing Vocals on Rock Band. You can play this game one handed, or you can use your left hand to activate the notes with your keyboard if clicking and moving the mouse is too much of a strain on your wrist. Some of the songs go incredibly hard on the rapid note changes, but you'll get the hang of it with some time. You can even slow down the note scrolling to give yourself more time to see the notes coming further along.

This game is an incredibly fun time, however it is pretty short. It took about 3.5 hours for me to finish the campaign and all of its achievements, but the humor and surprises kept it fresh and entertaining. It feels *a bit* steep at $15 for only a few hours worth of content, but with the promise of new songs being added in the future for free as well as constant updates, I feel like this is a game that I will becoming back to time and time again.

(Also, the polish and presentation from this game is 10/10. It's pretty slick. Slicker than the slides you'll be hitting.)

-TL;DR at the bottom.-

Smart Cube is a neat little puzzle platformer that had an enjoyable experience with.

The idea behind the game is very simple. You take a cube, place it on a black square (Or a black circle for jump pads) and build from there to try and make your way to the exit. Sometimes you start with nothing and have to go around the level collecting these items, while other times you have everything you need in your inventory. If you're unsure of where to go, you can press E to see where the exit is located. You can also press R to restart the level if you find yourself stuck.

The Puzzle elements of the game are very very easy. If you're expecting a mind-numbing challenge, I'm sorry to say that you won't find it here. Many of the maps are painfully simple, including a few maps (aside from the tutorial maps) where I didn't even use a single cube and walked right to the exit (I'm looking at you, Level 38). Having the ability to locate the exit also helps in lowering the difficulty of this game. There are few levels with branching paths, but a quick keystroke and you know exactly which way to go.

While the puzzle elements were lacking, what I had the most fun with was exploring the maps and finding where each cube or jump pad was hidden. I could tell the creator really had some fun with the level designs and the placement of the cubes. I had a good laugh or two when I discovered their locations on a few of the maps.

Your character has some pretty inconsistent control. Sprinting does almost nothing,

Now for the stuff not associated with the gameplay. I loved the UI. Simple. Crisp. Clear. Exactly what you would expect in a game like this. The Music is serviceable. It's nothing amazing, but at no time did I groan and mute the game. The Overall graphics were decent. It's a pretty game, and the added touch of being able to change the cube color was a nice touch.

Criticism -

I have to say that for a game to say "Get ready to have your intellect tested!" on its store page, I was expecting some really challenging stuff. Sadly, I did not get that here. Where this game really shined was level design. Exploring the maps and finding the cubes and jump pads I needed was great. This game would probably have done better if the focus was more on exploration and item collecting in these mini-levels instead of the extremely simple puzzle elements.

Smart Cube is extremely bare bones. There are 50 levels to complete... and that's it. No Time Attacks, Challenge Modes or extra Unlockable levels. There's not even unlockable extras for completing the game. Just "END". I thought I would have been a little slighted at seeing that, but at the time of this review the game only cost $0.49 (discounted from $0.99), so, eh, it's fine.

- TL;DR Here -

I enjoyed my time with this game. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon. However, I would probably recommend this to the younger gamers or those who have never played a puzzle platformer before. This would be a good title to get acclimated with the sub-genre.

While the controls are a bit slippery, and the actual puzzles were simple at best, the exploration elements were great. I hope the next game this developer creates focuses on exploration and item collecting, as those were what really shined in this title.

If you're looking for a challenge, steer clear.

...Spending 99 cents on an hour and a half of content and some easy steam achievements is pretty worth, though.

This game is Ridiculously Great! There really isn't much I can say about it that already hasn't been said before.

The Humor and Animation are spot on with that of the Show, and the gameplay mechanics are simple, yet engaging.

Sure, there are times when the combat can get kinda cheap, but it's nothing that you can't handle, and will definitely not put a damper on your experience!

Definitely give this game a go. It's rather short, but there's still quite a bit in it for you to enjoy, especially if you are a fan of the show.
