GUN is a satisfying, gory game with an entertaining blend of clean, consistent mechanics and mild jank.
Gun puts you in the stinky boots of colton white, a native american man out to uncover why a greasy preacher murdered his adoptive father, nick nolte.
colton looks kind of like a meaner version of my cousin Jamie, with beady little eyes.

GUN is a game where you just start blastin. It has a bit of a slow start, but you can finish the horse training in like 5 minutes, I swear. Just pay attention to when you have to kill the numerous animals with your horse, and not GUNs.
This is not a polished Wild West simulation, it's a light sandbox that incrementally but consistently rewards scouring every nook and cranny of the map, mostly for Gold.
Missions consist of relentless shootouts with hundreds of thousands of dim goons. No one is spared. There is never enough shotgun ammunition. You're on fire, drink your whiskey.

I love this game, I've always loved this game. It's fun and the script doesn't have any fat on it.

Grid-based deep underground resource extraction/exploration sim. This game is all atmosphere, and an incredibly slow burn if you're going in blind. Manage resources, extract oil and tunnel deeper still. Kinda like if Darkwood and Dead Space had a thematic baby. Should be appreciated for its uniqueness.

Feels entirely unique but easy to pick up and learn. Scratches the tactics+tower defense itch like no other, rewards planning and coordination.

This game has it all, you want tower defense? It's got you. You want space invaders? It's got you. You want to just lock your fire button and step away to wash your big melon head? The Daisy turret has got you covered.

Amazing music, fantastic poppy and distinct visuals. I'm nowhere near finished unlocking and progressing but this game is GREAT and it's UNIQUE. Extremely talented developer. Support this game!

You know what I love? A game that's funny. A game with funny dialogue, funny player choices and the freedom to do funny things to other players without consequence and boy howdy does Helldivers II deliver on the humour.

If Sony's insidious 3rd party software turned you off from this in mid 2024, they amended all that.

It is the most fun PVE shooting/action game. If they can squeeze in some Titanfall-style mech gameplay then this game would be perfect, PERFECT!!!
Now it's not as if it isn't perfect in its own way. Helldivers 2 offers extremely agile, acrobatic 3D Movement by the player. Controls are most similar to Metal Gear Solid GZ/V. Sprinting, leaping into a prone position and with great rewards for intelligent use of stealth.

Weapons, this game has dozens of them. Some better than others but all of them fill a niche. I'm a big fan of the HALT shotgun, because if you have a buddy and you're using the stun shells it makes most medium-heavy enemies trivial. No more Berserker swarms or Alpha Commander pajama parties.

The variety of enemy forces caters to multiple PVE styles. You have careful tactical shooter gameplay against the Automatons, you have swarm gameplay requiring dextrous movement and ample use of shrapnel explosives with the Terminids, and now you have knuckle-paleing urban combat against those repulsive squid cretins, the Illuminate.

You want to carpet bomb a city? You can do that. HE, Toxic Gas, Napalm.
You want to drop a nuclear bomb on a small creature? Buddy, you've got 2 nukes to excrete upon whatever lifeform you want once you upgrade your nukes.
You want to kill a 40K Dreadnought style robot with a single revolver round? You can do that IF YOU PRACTICE, HOT SHOT!

You want to sprint around like Terry Fox with a bum leg spreading positive vibes* to the various alien races? You can have up to 5 damaged limbs in this game at once. There's even an achievement for that, I don't have it yet I think I need a specific armour set.

You want to host a game and execute your teammates for cowardice/incompetence/no reason? There is literally no penalty to doing so. You can kill your teammates, with such variety, you can dedicate your first 20 hours to learning how to make doing so look like an accident.

Most importantly, you want to have FUN? You want to laugh, hold your belly like Santa Claus and chortle into the microphone with some music I can't stand creeping in over the mic? Friend, you can do it.

Buy this game, play it with me. Nuke me, drop a tesla coil on me, gas me, sass me, embrace me as the fireball consumes us. Play however you like.

There is nothing like Helldivers 2.

I cannot exaggerate how much I appreciate this game for everything that it is.
Cruelty Squad is not for everyone but for those to whom the aesthetic is not overwhelming you will get one of those rarest of treats: A genuinely immersive sim.
The game that came to mind when I started the first level was Deus Ex. I was engrossed in this hideous, exotic world instantly. I'm not going to drone on about 'getting it' or 'not getting it'. You can love this game for a host of reasons and none of them can be directly in common with my own, but I still love the idea yeah, I earned this with my excellent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ taste. I love this game because I'm a ruthless freak and it helps me live that out in safe circumstances. I would reccommend this to people who liked:
-Dead Space
-Munch's Oddysee
-Warioware
-The PS1 Doom clone P'OED
-certain obscure internet ephemera
-Fans of the YTP creator Imaperson who nonetheless crave cohesion
-Living out violent and vulgar impulses in an honestly presented framework

This game is for people who want to be cybernetically enhanced biomorphic virtueless, guileless pieces of ♥♥♥♥. And it loves you for it.

In this game you are placed in the patyns of a screaming idiot, churning through shoulder-deep gangs of grumbling oafs. This game is fatphobic, most of the bosses are obese, jowly trolls who lumber around at an embarrassing rate and react slowly to what happens around them, awkwardly flinging their melon-like fists at you in futile attempts to knock you into an glowing instant death pit.
Hit the middle mouse button on any enemy that doesn't die in 3 hits or less, and then walk away so someone else will deal with it.
The best class is Zealot because he screams the loudest.
You should play this if you liked Vermintide. It doesn't have the silly lighthearted tone of Vermintide though, this game is sort of like living above a funeral parlor for catholic warlock DJs. I give it ten severed limbs out of ten
